Every day that goes by I believe he was more and more

Who writes the history?

Who owns the press?

Same people who have been infiltrating every institute of cultural influence for decades.

What other narratives that we've been taught need to be re-examined?

The only things I really didn’t like were taking us off the gold standard and opening relations with China

Nixon was not based. He was what the GOP would make if you tried to describe Trump to them. He was low energy and a pawn of the establishment. Nobody who took us completely off the gold standard can ever be considered based in any way shape or form.

Its the same reason you can't call Trump a conservative. He spent money like a drunken sailor. If we weren't living in clown world, Trump's 2016 platform could easily have been a Democrat candidate.

No Democrat ever ran on Draining the Swamp, and that's Trump's greatest gift to us; exposing them.

But you're dead right about the gold standard. I've yet to hear a reasonable defense of that.

The Swamp didn't need exposing. We knew who they were. That's why we wanted Trump to drain it. He couldn't do it, but it was never something one person could do alone anyway.

What his gift to us is, is showing the GOP that there is huge demand for candidates that want integrity from government. Its going to take decades (assuming we manage to secure our elections) but there's an opportunity here for swamp-draining candidates to get support and be elected. If you get 51% of both houses favoring swamp draining, you might actually see the water level fall just a bit.

History suggests that broad social and political changes happen much more quickly than that. This poison that is Marxism has to be ripped out ASAP, and that's going to expedite the Swamp Draining.

It's either that or we lose.

I vote for the former option.

Heck, Bill Clinton’s platform had more in-line with Trump than his wife’s

He was deff based and they had to get rid of him

Yes. If you ignore Watergate, Nixon was a good president. In fact, the liberals should have loved him too, like Trump. But the media coordinated with their Democrat allies to destroy him, just like Trump.

Watergate wasn't even a big deal in reality. It was a local election, and Nixon wasn't even involved in it.

Most based President since Theodore Roosevelt and until Trump bar none. He pretty much invented the direct political zinger ("she's pink down to her underwear").

Almost nobody in politics in the 20th century was more based than Richard Nixon.... with the possible exception of Sprio Agnew. That guy gave zero fucks and wore it on his sleeve.

Yes, and he was FRAMED AND OVERTHROWN by the CIA.

Read Ashton Gray's Watergate: The Hoax.

Didn't he take US off the gold standard?

NadlerShartWaddle 3 points ago +3 / -0

I believe so. Also opened up trade with China.

As a result of Ze FRANCH raiding our gold supply for roughly a decade before actively messing with the price per ounce, and continuing to exchange greenbacks for gold.

Yeah that I don’t like about him

2
tentigers99 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. He was a NY Giant season ticket holder. Of course he was BASED!

War_Hamster 2 points ago +2 / -0

Only reason I don't downvote that is because you beat the hated Pats when it counted twice.

Other than that, Go Cowboys!

Before 2020, that is. No more sportsball for me.

tentigers99 2 points ago +2 / -0

yeah, me either. I'm born and raised Brooklynite. Yankees/Giants/Rangers/Knicks. But now that's no longer part of my life. I will check a boxscore or highlight occassionaly but, that's all.

The only game I ever saw at MSG, Ewing blocked a Michael Jordan shot at the rim at the buzzer. It was pretty cool.

Those were the days....

yeah...the oakly/mason/ewing/starks/Houston/LJ knicks. they had heart.

Yes he was. I just watched a show on Australian Netflix that was excerpts from all of his tapes, so it was his own candid words and not media spin. I was struck by how much he was like Trump, and how at least privately he knew what pricks the Democrats & the media are, and he was kicking ass. I expect that’s why they took him down.

He was a POS who led the way to the corruption we have now today. He was winning re-election, but then had to try and “rat-fuck” it with his college buddies. He paved the way for the corruption of the Obama administration. Not to mention, the FBI corruption under his administration that led to the Weathermen being let go without prosecution. Idk if you can pin that on him, or more likely Hoover. Either way, corruption breeds corruption. This is what pisses me off so much about the wrong I’ve seen with the GOP. The establishment corruption on both sides is a cancer.
