It's sad how today's youth is being robbed from their childhood. They are so manipulated that they themselves advocate for their freedom being stripped.

If only you could take today's youth back to the 90s for a week and show them what freedom really means. I bet 99% of them would drop the whole nonsense in a heartbeat and start enjoying life.

Right? Who needs fema camps when you can convince people to stay home. They don't want people talking to their community and uprising.

I kinda like when the stupid people stay at home.

22
TheThreeSeashells 22 points ago +23 / -1

That's something I've noticed. I like shopping in emptier stores and emptier roads. Let the lazy slobs stay home forever until they're found dead with their cats eating their eyeballs. "I had no idea anything was wrong since I never see them leave their home anyway."

A lot of this drama covid shit will go away if you just put down your phone, turn off the TV and live your life. Let these clowns be afraid. They're addicted to fear porn.

People think the main reason I don't wear a mask is rebellion. Not really. (Well, a little bit.) A lot of the reason is to set an example that normal means no masks. There's nothing that pisses me off more than walking through a park and seeing some moron, all by themselves, wearing a mask. All I see is some virtue signaler trying to remind others to stop enjoying themselves because there's something they're supposed to be deathly afraid of.

ppalgansaek 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don't tune in to their BS so I am typically shocked and bewildered when I encounter one of them in the wild. They really are insane. I was in the grocery store last week. For some reason, I am no longer allowed to bag my own groceries. The man who came up to do so demanded that I return to the area behind the plexiglass. I was nowhere near him - I had my back to him, reading the notices at their plexiglass-less customer service desk. How does the COVID know to stay behind the plexiglass anyway? What keeps it from going over and around to attack them?

4
MAKE 4 points ago +4 / -0

These people found a way to think of themselves as heros. They believe they're helping and are so proud! I encountered some fat asshole in some line at some gas station announcing that I have to have a mask. I just ignored him and let him feel stupid as he was the only one who gave a shit. It's like that one kid in 2nd grade telling on you because you're eating in class and he can't have any of your chips!

I LOVED the emptier roads coupled with the cheap ass gas. It was amazing to be able to cruise around town in a gas guzzling sports car and not having to deal with the retarded traffic.

Yeah this is amazing. More room for me, and when I see people outside 90% chance they are conservative.

Amazing

I feel the same way. Hopefully my state doesn’t cuck out, and lifts the mandate instead of extending it. (Word is they won’t, but female Governor, so it’s a crap shoot.)

It’ll make meeting people, and finding dates so much easier. I won’t have to scrutinize nearly as hard. Especially for dates.

The government gains power when you live online because you have no rights there. No free speech, no protection against illegal search, nothing. Your entire life is stored and analyzed.

1

I wear them bc my state is a literal fascist shithole and would probably prosecute me for anything simply due to the color of my skin now. But only for as long as I'm inside a store. It comes off the moment I leave and stays off and none of my friends are wearing one any longer than necessary either.

Remarkably, none of us have gotten sick either. I haven't since 2019.

Fuck the Teachers, how about all the people who contribute more to society than programming children to worship John Money and Karl Marx?

30
MikesBigJockstrap 30 points ago +30 / -0

Some of my best teachers were noticeably conservative without expressing biased views. Like my US History teacher, she was a bombshell, and I hated history before her class. She raked me over the coals for making a 5th amendment joke, both in the hallway and after class. She taught me the importance of US history, the constitution, and our founding fathers.

10
MisterGuapo 10 points ago +10 / -0

I still visit a teacher that I've known for around 40 years. We discussed how things were when I went to school. Teachers weren't allowed to inject politics or there would be hell to pay.

We had conservative and liberal teachers, but you really couldn't tell in the classroom. They taught the material and let us think for ourselves.

4
MikesBigJockstrap 4 points ago +4 / -0

I go to church with my old 4th grade math teacher. She was great. I miss my US History teacher, not because she was hot (that was a bonus), but the way she taught was captivating, almost enthralling. She was interactive with people and it felt like she genuinely cared about her students and wasn't just there for a paycheck or to robotically read from some pre-planned script/lesson plan from the DOE.

Very few teachers can do a good enough job to inspire teenagers who already hate school. To really learn, enjoy it, and retain it. Not just do the work just for a grade so you can pass the class

2
koavf 2 points ago +2 / -0

My teacher taught us that Abe Lincoln was a democrat...it's that bad.

7
Tryhardneckbeard 7 points ago +7 / -0

I zoom w/ our teachers regularly cause I have a kid in special Ed. In TX we've been in class for damn near the entire time, I think 2 months remote. As a point of politeness, I've thanked them and told them how much I appreciate that they are doing in classroom and not forcing remote learning. After we get to talking about it, the teachers, principle and I even got the state Dept of Ed head one time and they talked about how absolutely pissed they are at how other states Ed Depts are making them all look like dickheads w/ their striking and refusing to go back to work.

2
jatergator 2 points ago +2 / -0

I believe teachers should be paid well because they are charged with educating our children. I also believe that we should get rid of tenure and pensions. They should be held accountable the same way anyone is for their job. Shitty job, you’re fired! Higher pay, hopefully creates competition for better teachers.

1
CDXX 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yeah, no. There are still great teachers out there that don’t indoctrinate the kids. That type of all or nothing “fuck the teachers” shit is ridiculous.

8
BingusCombat 8 points ago +8 / -0

And there are great cops out there. And yet, we still have an entire police force full of cops willing to enforce unconstitutional laws and teachers brainwashing children. So your anecdotal example doesn't hold up.

4

13
kyle6969 13 points ago +14 / -1

Meh - that’s assuming teachers are actually teaching. And teaching things we’d accept.

I think there’s actually a balance between this CNN article and where we were. I personally don’t need to go to my office to work anymore. I moved out of my shoebox in the city and got more space during this pandemic. So I do have room for an office in my house. I have started buying stuff for a home gym. Etc etc etc. I have more room for things that are my own - and I think that’s great.

Heck it opens my eyes to homeschooling. Or some other solution - I do think socializing is important. But does it need to be a traditional school? Again - they have control of the message there.

But I also want social events. I want restaurants open. Whatever your thing is. Live music. Sports. Movies.

Without so much as a second thought, the animal rights activist chastised the person asking the question with "From the grocery store like everyone else. Duh."

Ergo, as a Christian, I have zero qualms over wholesale slaughter of food animals because 1) they're delicious and 2) this is our charge.

We are the only higher order creature on the planet. Anyone attempting to subvert the narrative otherwise is stripping us of our God-given duty.

I have to say, those of us in the ‘fray’ during the Pandemic enjoyed the new 85 mph speed limits. Now that the derps are slinking out the accidents seem to be rising...which of course is making traffic increase...

7
Musicbymuzak 7 points ago +7 / -0

This times a million.... Slumped over the wheel with idiot masks on doing 10 under the limit and then acting shocked that people want to get around them

3
koavf 3 points ago +3 / -0

Texting their friends about how much they hate bad drivers...

Slamming on the brakes and stopping in the middle of the intersection because the light turned yellow...

Merging onto the highway while going 35 mph with their brake lights on before cutting across all lanes of traffic to get to the passing lane...

The passing lane is their personal carpool lane, and "why is everbody tailgating me?"

Driving in between both lanes to enforce what they think the speed limit should be...

We really need self driving cars for these idiots.

1
koavf 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was always the castrated Gary's in their Hyundai, Toyota, or their Volkswagen Jetta blocking up the passing lane so they could text without worry (and that's on top of the fact their cars are always "fuel efficient" lawn mower engines)

When the news told them the ending is coming, they panicked and locked themselves away and did their cubicle work from home. Now they are back on the road but they haven't driven in a while so they take it extra slow just to be safe.

I went from being able to go to work in ten minutes going the speed limit to 20-30 minutes because the "slower is safer" crowd is back on the road.

POTUS_DonnieJ 13 points ago +13 / -0

“Everything is a risk.”

Well yeah. Thats the point of life. Without risks, life isn’t worth living. I’d rather face 100 risks a day outside then sit cooped up at home.

9
POTUS_DonnieJ 9 points ago +9 / -0

Also, note how they suggest the car = food. Which means someone else has to leave home to bring you said food. So someone else taking a risk to feed you is fine, as long as you don’t have to take any risks. These people are so blind to their own hypocrisy, its incredible.

5
TheThreeSeashells 5 points ago +5 / -0

There's zero risk in a completely unvetted stranger by both you and the restaurant, whose only qualifications for that job is having a car and a phone, bringing you food. Not to mention you can't see the condition of the restaurant or the quality of people working there. Let me ask everyone, if you walked into a dirty looking restaurant and saw a bunch of complete slobs standing around "working" there, would you say, "Yeah, I'll eat here." Well, just dial up DoorDash or GrubHub or whatever and there you go.

2
Donarudo_Taranpu 2 points ago +2 / -0

Working for pizza and Chinese places since I was born.

2
TheThreeSeashells 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. You worked for ONE establishment that vetted you, hired you and gets to know you. I did the same for a pizza PLACE. The GrubHub/DoorDash industry doesn't work like that. Someone has a car/phone and randomly shows up at a restaurant where they know nothing about that person, unquestioningly hand them the food and then they bring it to some rando's home. There's no accountability along the line and any maniac can do it.

When I worked for a pizza place, I was accountable to the place I worked for. I didn't just show up, grab a pizza and was never seen again. If I looked dirty or stunk or was rude to customers my job was on the line (not that I would be any of those things.) We had regular customers that knew us and we knew them. They could technically pop into the restaurant and see us. It's completely different than the "serial killer delivery" industry they've created now.

3

If you get bored, just turn on a monitor on your window to change the "outdoor" scenery from a jungle to desert. It even showed a couple panicking when the power went out and they were like "helpless". That part made me think "why?" Crazy, creepy stuff like 20 years ago they knew this would happen. Either a good prediction on they were in on this back then. Wish I could find the film, probably on YouTube

I get that there's advocating for convenience, but this is advocating being a giant, agoraphobic pussy. "Everything is a risk". Cowardly shut-ins.

They want everyone isolated while they police their online speech.

Easier to control the masses.

lol yes! Please, let's push this absolute paranoia onto the left. Make them terrified to do anything. Make them feel like leaving their home is impossible. Eventually the only people you'll see out in public will be normal people.

They truly are our enemies. This is deliberately encouraging fear

My upstairs neighbors are turbo libs (live in a 2 story house, each floor is an apartment) and I'll go out multiple times a day on the weekend while their cars remain parked in the driveway. What the hell are you guys even doing all day?

One of the great evil mistakes made happens when experts, gov employees, politicians and the media propaganda arms all decide what's good for people and what they can do: This picture is their confession.

They don't know anyone who doesn't have a freestanding 4-bedroom home with a garage, separate rooms for family, 2 bathrooms, a master bedroom, a backyard, a driveway to play basketball, they think everyone has a 'Den' and all wives have their own closets.

They don't even consider half the nation lives in small apartments where police will eventually show up to pull the mom and dad apart after they beat the fuck out of each other after months of being stuck in a single small living room. If not, how neighbors will start losing their goddamn minds because the sound of the 'home gym' which is actually the same bedroom and same computer room and sleeping room, how that is rattling the walls 2 inches away from their bed/den/gym room.

This photo is their confession and they will never think anything of it and might respond, somewhat confused "well... why don't you just do laps in the backyard to get exercise?"

Hydris 3 points ago +3 / -0

Honestly you can tell These people don't work out regularly anyway. A home gym is nice and all, But including everything you said, unless you are in the basement or a garage, your floors are gonna get shit on by all the extra weight.

Thats not even going into the gym is a whole thing by itself. I regularly work out 4-5 days a week. Going to the gym is a mental thing. I would rather go to my gym than create one at home.

Throughout the entire thing I've realize how comfy-cozy the lives of these people really are. Suggestions like:

  • Do laps around the backyard
  • Take 'alone time', put on a podcast and spend a few hours in the laundryroom
  • turn the basement into your own 'disney', create crafts, play twister,
  • students, keep your bedroom doors closed during online classes.

I haven't done a survey but even in countries like the USA and Canada, many if not most people live in apartments or condos, almost nobody I know in the UK has garages or a 'backyard' that isn't a tiny little cube (if anything).

For whatever reason this reminded me of a South Park episode where Rob Reiner is baffled at the working poor types having a smoke break to relax and sincerely asks "Well why wouldn't you just do what I do and take a nice long relaxing vacation in Hawaii instead?"

I heard one Lockdowner saying "Yes, I know what it's like, I had to cash out some of my retimement investment money" and I'd easily believe they actually think most of the poors also have that ability.

This is all a precursor to them shipping half or more of the office jobs out of this country. We are about to see a massive commercial real estate bubble. They’ll be converting office buildings to wonderful government housing in no time!

Maybe human interaction, a change of scenery, the sites and sounds of another locale? A round of golf, church with friends, a day at the park, your kids on a swing, a beer with a neighbor, a night on the town, stupid racist stuff like that? How about those jobs, (that the elites can not comprehend), that can not be done from a computer?

Because who doesn't have a home gym, theater room, and zero friends? Outside of Pedowood that is.

Everything is a risk.

As it has always been. You get in your car and drive to work...theres a "risk" you get in an accident. Theres a "risk" in everything if you choose to see things that way.

Now promoting: staying home forever

Is this satire? It’s hard to tell what’s satire and what’s real, it’s like the “media” are all in one big bet to out-crazy each other.

starsabove 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its not without some irony that Dems want to eliminate that type of home, the single family detached. The people committing suicide the most during lockdowns were living in small, dormitory-like studio apartments. Those urban apartments are little more than a place to sleep, shower, and a kitchenette.

Easier to weather a lockdown in a ~2000 sq ft home, not so easy when you live in a 300 sq ft closet.

1
BurgerChef90 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wasn't there a movie where a guy was a risk assessor for an insurance company who assessed every risk he took, and if he didn't like the odds, he didn't do it? That's what this is.

We're all gonna die eventually, but staying inside cause of the "risk" is retarded.

1
koavf 1 point ago +1 / -0

Apparently everyone has a home theater or a big screen, a super expensive home gym, and their boss lets them work from home.

Why does CNN hate poor people? Or is that only a fair accusation if it's against a Republican?

Even if you are physically disabled, it makes sense only occasionally.

Demtards are mentally disabled, which is a great obstacle to functioning normally, so who am I to judge...?
