I remember hearing a story of an animal rights activist demanding that we release all the cows and stop slaughterhouses.

The person talking with them asked "okay, so where do you expect to get your beef if you release all of the cattle?"

Without so much as a second thought, the animal rights activist chastised the person asking the question with "From the grocery store like everyone else. Duh."
