So in case people don't want to read the story; Roberts argument was that the student had no standing since he was no longer a student and that since the policy that affected the kid no longer existed.

Of course the problem with this argument is that it fails to punish the school by putting it on record that they violated the student's rights. THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE COURT IS TO UPHOLD CIVIL RIGHTS.
