What does that have to do with having had covid and gaining immunity or getting the vax?

Why would you continue wearing a mask if you’re already immune.

Easy answer, it’s a cult. I have a few friends that have had it, and they still mask. One has even told me they “love their mask”.

I had no response to that. It was a certifiably insane statement.

My point was just that rands statement in op suggests only two options regardless of mask application. You can see the start of it with fauci planting the seed with the "vaccinated persons can now gather indoors". That, while on its surface is an absolutely absurd statement, it influences the willfully uneducated masses in the idea that there are levels of freedom based on compliance. And for the most part, all of America will accept it, or rather be semi forced to accept it through their employers actions regarding cdc instruction and fauci influencing those standards. And rands statement shows, to me at least, that he is accepting of that influence, or at a minimum is subconsciously receptive to it. The slope has been established, and a very public, self described libertarian, has just taken (consciously or otherwise) a step toward the ride.

I noticed that immediately when I read it too. He should have just said "Don't listen to government scolds, trash your mask and live free" Adding in the bit about 2 weeks out from vaccination or having recovered makes it sound like our freedoms are conditional.
