They have zero authority to enforce these fake mandates. My local Mayor and Health Department tell people to report mask violations to them instead of calling the Police. They say that the Police WON'T write a ticket for masks. No bitch, they CAN'T write a ticket because there is no law. Write as many fake fines as you want, they all get dismissed because you have no authority.

The Mayor here has a mask taskforce that she will send out if an individual or business continually gets reported. The businesses ignore her, then they write fines, then the businesses ignore the fines, then they continue operating like normal. It is all a farce.
And of course not a legal authority. All of the static is confusing people. There is no authority other than whom and what you consent to. We in the USA happen to have a representative style of government which is anchored and limited by a legal, founding document. Fundamental law we agree to and consent by paying taxes etc. That's it.
