You have to work with the people and tools you're given. Barring the possible but by no means guaranteed outcome where Abbot is primaried with a more conservative candidate who goes on to have no issues in the general gubernatorial election, he's what Texans are going to have to work with it. The DNC war machine has Texas firmly in their crosshairs, make no mistake.
