And government acts exactly like Ismal.

The other gods people claim to believe in, and the churches they attend, are now, by comparison, little more than empty rituals and half-heartedly parroted superstitions. When it comes to their everyday lives, the god that people actually pray to, to save them from misfortune, to smite their enemies, and to shower them with blessings, is “government.” It is “government” whose commandments the people most often respect and obey, Whenever a conflict arises between “government” and the teachings of the lesser gods – such as “pay your fair share” (taxation) versus “Thou shalt not steal,” or “duty to country” (military service) versus “Thou shalt not murder”– the commands of “government” supersede all the teachings of the other religions.

That quotation seems incredibly weird - beginning to quote the Bible despite parts like this:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans+13:1&version=NIV

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Though, I might well be taking it out of context.

But you continue spamming quotations you do not believe in yourself.

I don't cite the quotes I do out of an appeal to authority, I cite them because they represent freestanding ideas on their own.

The idea represented in your quote is a terrible one, and if taken to its logical conclusion suggests that the Nazi regime was established by God and that its victims should have accepted their death as just.

I really do believe the Nazi regime was set up, or at least protected, by God. You know how many times Hitler had attempted assassinations from within his own group? Over 50, and all of them failed! It's hard for me to believe that God wasn't somehow involved in all that.

Because of this, I, as a Christian, firmly believe God protected Hitler, not because Hitler was good (he wasn't), but to fulfil God's plans, which was ultimately the establishment of the Nation State of Israel in 1948, as was prophesied in the Bible.

If the global community tried to establish the State of Israel at any other time, there would've been far too much anti-semitsim to do that. WW2 is what allowed the Global Leaders to have enough sympathy to vote on the establishment of a nation all Jews could go back to and call home.
