Yeah I've reconciled myself to this fact over the years. Centralization and hierarchy is a part of human nature and that's how power becomes concentrated. People who think we live in a true republic are delusional, we only have the illusion of a republic. To avoid that centralization becoming communist and degenerate, it's necessary to have a society that places God at its center. And monarchy seems to fit that bill.
