I was phat. Then I went on the Wesley Willis diet after I met him. “I’m sorry that I got phat, I’m sorry that I got phat, I’m sorry that I got phat, I will slim down” Now I’m slim.

Awesome. Saw him in Milwaukee at a small bar before he died. It was insane...like he was. His band The Fiasco was ok but I saw him solo and those shows were much better. Back before the world got crazier than he never imagined. His Chicago street art is cool too.

Never thought I’d see anything Wesley Willis related here lol. We have the greatest tastes, don’t we, folks? Years ago, I bought a WW greatest hits cd in a Philly record shop. Opened it up and inside was a copy of one of his drawings and it’s signed. Still have it hanging up to this day

That's cool, I'm sure it was a truly unforgettable experience. I first heard a few of his songs like "I Whupped Batman's Ass", "Rock N Roll McDonald's", and "O.J. Simpson" when a friend played them for me a long time ago. His songs made me laugh my ass off, of course, but I didn't know his whole story, just that he was some "crazy guy" from Chicago that liked to make music with his keyboard. It's been years since I've listened to him, but something as unique as his songs is something I've never forgotten. When I saw your comment, the phrase "McDonald's is the place to rock" popped back into my head, so I looked up the song again, and looked up a little more about him. I saw that there are a few documentaries about him on youtube, so I'll have to check those out. It would be interesting, to say the least, to hear what he would be singing about today. I hope he's on the greatest "joyride" ever with Jesus now!
