Moved cross-country (Maryland to Washington) last year. Drove through Arkansas-northwest Arkansas is the most beautiful area of the country I've ever seen.
And remember the white woke mayor at the time demanded “white supremacists and racists” not come to Knoxville to protest against this most heinous, disgusting and revolting of all black violent animal crimes.
I started to feel this way when all these rappers made songs and anthems about cities. stupid songs with pitbull (who is surprisingly based btw) would just name every city they could to get people to cheer or something I never liked it. I felt proud that I grew up in an unincorporated part of the county
Violent crimes committed in Knoxville on a daily basis are 1.12 times more than than Tennessee average and 1.76 times more than the average nationwide. Daily property crime rates in Knoxville are 1.64 times more than the daily state average and 2.06 times more than the daily national numbers.
The 5 largest ethnic groups in Knoxville, TN are White (Non-Hispanic) (71.6%), Black or African American (Non-Hispanic) (17.4%), White (Hispanic) (3.7%), Two+ (Non-Hispanic) (2.85%), and Asian (Non-Hispanic) (1.82%). NaNk% of the people in Knoxville, TN speak a non-English language, and 95.8% are U.S. citizens.
This doesnt sound bad. 2x the national average? I consider it safe if it like under 4x. Pre covid id hang out in baltimore on the regular (theyre lousy with my fav kind of working class dive bars), and i think theyre like 25x... iirc worse crime rate than many latin american countries
If you're single and haven't given up yet, cities present more opportunities for night life. If I had a lady friend, I'd be moving to the middle of the woods.
You can drive to the city from the country if you feel you absolutley have to go there to find women.
i've spent most of life living on the outskirts and it has way more pro's than con's (in more ways than one).
bonus is when you do find yourself a a "lady friend" you can bring her out to a nice chill spot in the country where she feels safe enough to walk to her car without being raped by a savage crack monster.
No, not a club. Nevertheless, having lived in both rural areas and a large American city, you encounter a lot more people in a lot of different contexts being in a city. Living in a very rural area, you don't really encounter anyone. Which is what makes it nice, right?
That's a valid point. I guess it's about finding the right balance. There need to be enough people to meet them but not so many that it becomes a hellpit full of promiscuous hipster womens.
The honest truth is that the other guy is wrong. There are many more women and opportunities near and in a city, so if you're young you should definitely move to one. I'm a bit older but in the same boat, basically I can be a hermit in the middle of nowhere and never meet anyone, or give a southern city a chance. I was actually looking at Kentucky a bit, or maybe even Georgia.
Stay the fuck out of Georgia. 100% of Georgia politics is dominated by Atlanta, which is a steaming shithole. Something like 75% of the population of the entire state is in 13 counties out of 159 and they're either fully urban or full of ridiculous soybois and their karens.
If you want to go somewhere that's still red, go to West Virginia or Eastern Kentucky. Live within an hour of a big city for convenience, but just buy a ton of land. You can still find land out there for $1000-1500 an acre. Buy yourself 100 acres of hillside facing the sunset, put a cabin on it, and go into town when you need groceries or w/e.
You can find women of all ages at church. Most churches have a Wed night bible study in addition to Sunday service. Bible studies are more casual and easier to meet new people.
www.FarmersOnly.com Get you a nice, buxom, farm girl who love to wear shit-kicken boots and nothing else as she teaches you what a REAL roll in the hay is all about!
Ladies want security. If you've got the money to take them to the country and provide them with a home and safety to raise a family they will go. And if they don't want that then their not Mrs. Right for OP.
He wants an independent, college educated tattooed cat-owning BLM-supporting upwardly mobile professional who don't need no man, but who does need to pay off the remainder of her 200k student loan
"ey my cousin just got killed by a dirtbag who took too much codeine and jacked somebody else's car this noon at 16th and Orange, the cops knocked on my door to ask me to identify him then pulled me aside for a twenty-minute interrogation when I used the word 'tripped,' but hey, there are two nightclubs and a barcade downtown I go to every two weeks so it's worth it"
I miss the city I used to live in, mainly for the resturants and nightlife. However, I moved bc the democrats destroyed said city. I now live in a red state in a quiet area, but have only a short drive for any city amenities. Bumble (or similar) is pretty good for making new connections without spending bar money.
If you learn to cook for yourself and invest the time you can not only cook everything to YOUR specifications and create challenge dishes and recipes but you can make for yourself a constructive hobby to hone your skills and impress your friends. Restaurants count on you bringing your friends for a social gathering and convenience to make bank.
Really, a lot of businesses make bank off of social and ingroup pressure to spend collectively. Usually when I go to a restaurant it's to look at a menu and find a new dish to make.
Failing that you can just spam nachos if you're lazy.
I'm a lady who's a decent cook, but I ain't spending a whole day just to cook Japanese ramen if that's what I'm craving. I go to restaurants as a treat once in a while to have something I wouldn't make at home.
I love cooking. I like going to restaurants for the ambiance, the service, and the expert foodie-ness. You're talking like patronizing any type of resturant is a bad thing. Some of us like to get dressed up and go out because it's fun, not to impress others.
I'm not talking about McDonalds, TGIFridays, or some other chain.
No, my children need an LD school which means we have to live in a major metro area.
Life is not all about what I want, it's about providing the best for my kids. I'd love nothing more than live in a rural place, but I have to wait 8 years for that. People's lives are complicated, simple solutions are just that.
I don’t get it either. Have two friends who moved downtown Chicago a few years back and said they will never go back to the Suburbs. But the city and the area they are is still ghetto and shitty. I just do no see the allure of living in a city. I like visiting cities and have lived on one before and I see very little go about it.
Why are "conservatives" so attracted to centuries old rural living, and if so attracted, why are you on the internet, using electricity, and maybe farming using gasoline or diesel powered equipment built in urban environments?
Conservative is not synonymous with Luddite. What you're espousing is basically depopulation on the scale of the worst of the globalists.
Wanting "everyone" to live in a place like that does imply exactly that. Or you're saying that everyone who wants to live like that is dependent on the good graces of the urban dwellers. A very weak argument. Maybe country living folks should put more effort into explaining why the two should be working together towards common goals.
No one's "wanting everyone to live in a place like that". That's you strawmanning.
Even then, wanting people to live in small areas still does not imply that one wants to forsake modern technology. None of those things you mentioned require large, populous urban areas to be manufactured, nevermind the utter lack of evidence that the majority of those things are even manufactured in major urban areas.
"Maybe country living folks should put more effort into explaining why the two should be working together towards common goals."
Why should they when the "country living folks" do not require the urbanite in their lives whatsoever? Why should they put forth effort into something they do not need?
So you're staying that conservatives are happy without electricity or fossil fuels (Maybelle, hook the plow up to yourself, and let's get that field ready.) The country living folks would either expire or be back to subsistence farming in no time without the modern world. Only fools and glowies would try to argue that anything even remotely related to current tech can exist in such a world. Utterly laughable and completely antithetical to the science of economics
How am I saying that at all? The only person even attempting to steer the argument that way is you.
No cities are required for modern technology. Precisely zero of the current infrastrucutre would magically disappear if the (most or even all) populations of the large cities did.
At this point, you're glowing because of both the heavy metals in your diet AND from the obvious left-wing rhetoric. "HURR DURR SMALL TOWN PEOPLE ARE ALL BACKWARDS AND DUMB HURR"
Not weak at all. Electricity does not require urban areas in order to be produced, and is more than likely not predominantly produced in urban areas.
Same with the internet, etc. The only person glowing here is you, but not because of any implied Fed involvement. More like from all the heavy metals in the paint you swilled down as a kid.
When I go to any mid sized city I do the mall test. I wander around one day during the week for a few hours and on a Saturday for a few hours and study the people. Knoxville passed the test two years ago when I was there. The people seemed normal and cheerful. It seemed like a throw back to my town back in the 1980s.
In this case you’d conceal carry to see if any leftist commie fags wild try to assault you. That way you can put them down instead of scaring them off with an open carry. But yes, Open carry is legal in Tennessee.
When I planned on moving I would first go to a laundromat that is local to my new home and do a small load of clothes while reading a book. During the 2 hours I would check out what kind of characters would come in, knowing that they probably lived nearby. Also, I shopped at the local supermarket for 30 minutes to check out who is there. If I didn't like what I saw then I would check another neighborhood before committing to moving.
Wait.... I've been to many many many washaterias/laundrymats.... ALL had single moms with their 20+ unleashed kids running around. Do decent laundry mats exist???
Knox Center (aka East Town) mall was shut down about a year ago because it became a hangout spot for thugs. West Town has gotten a lot worse over the years.
No one in my area goes to the mall, it’s probably going to be torn down to be honest, even tho it’s nice. But this is a good idea. I would walk around the main areas on both weekdays, evenings and busy weekends and see what happens
Knoxville is fun. But Oxford is much better if
You want based. Knoxville is beautiful, Oxford has its own traditions. Both are pretty cool but Oxford hands down much more based
Oxford is small. It makes Knoxville seem big. Not many great jobs here.
I honestly think people in the town limits of Oxford are more cucked than the ones in Knoxville. Every neighborhood in Oxford is infested with college students, whereas Knoxville has much more segregated neighborhoods. If you buy a house in Oxford, your neighbors are likely to be renters, even in the nicer areas.
Both have very beautiful women.
I lived in a relatively wealthy area of Knoxville, and I would say the cost of living in Oxford is about 20% higher, even though the median income in Knoxville is much higher.
I actually prefer Knoxville, but I'm very curious as to what the other guy here who's lived in both towns has to say.
I knew somebody from TN who was a straight stereotype of a soyboy, for people who think it's just a dumb Discuck meme. It really isn't.
Fat and corpulent, at least 200 lbs.
Barely broke 20 years of age.
Made a stupid, vapid numale grin at me when he "bragged" about supporting Bernie, as if it was shorthand for being a Mensa member.
Brayed proudly about being an atheist. When I probed further he admitted he took that "worldview" on as a (puerile) reaction to his parents' Christian values.
Cited Dan Brown conspiracy theories when I tore his ass apart about Christianity's role and contributions to the science he "trusted" ("t-the Founding Fathers were Deists, see, the dollar bill says 'Novus ordo seculorum,' 'New Secular Order'"). Like holy fuck he tried to use Angels and Demons as an argument and he legitimately forgot that Gregor Johann Mendel existed.
I legit could deconstruct his character within five minutes of talking to him. It took me less time than that to dismantle his shallow character completely in a debate and had him pivoting to "l-let's not talk about politics, let's talk about Marvel instead" temerity.
Sounds about right. I'd wager most (90%+) atheists under the age of 40 are simply mad at mommy and daddy for taking them to boring church for an hour or two or three every Sunday.
Ah, the internet educated mid-wit. The Dunning-Kruger effect manifest into a single, pathetic individual. Hard to take seriously someone who behaves, and often smells, like they have a problem with chronic masturbatory habits.
You'd have to take my anecdata at its word, unfortunately. P: He didn't seem like he wanted to assault me (his doughy complexion ruled out anything resembling a stocky build and he was also one of those "trendy to be depressed" types) and I don't carry around a bodycam, as do other people.
Unfortunately, given that our legal situation is worsening and such a measure may be a smart one for anybody who wants to cover their ass legally in this Orwellian surveillance state.
I have lived all across the country. There are hundred of things to consider. Crime, Police response, taxes, The people, Environment, Social constructs etc. But 1 simple thing give you a huge sign of what the city is about. 1 simple thing to determine if the city is a good place to live or not.
Parking meters.
If the city has even one. This tells you everything you need to now what the city is about. I never travel to or live in or work in any city with Parking meters.
this tells you everything you need to know about city officials and what they think of you.
Parking meters means he city is out for $. It will mean read light cameras, Parking tickets. Toll roads, tow trucks, High taxes, High Sales tax or income tax or both, and every other way they can think of to milk you.
I had a good job offer across the state. I google mapped it and found it had parking meters out front and no parking for the business. I canceled my interview just on that.
Yeah but no one would seriously consider memphis anyway, it just flat out sucks in every possible dimension. The only cool thing about memphis is going to "yard sales" to buy handguns and bootleg leather goods.
My cousin was a cop in Nashville. A jogger tried to pull a gun on him and my cousin shot him in self defense. The liberals in the city ruined his life and protested him for years afterwards. His wife left him and took the kids because of all the death threats and his depression from the city trying to railroad him.
I find that kind of surprising. I did an internship in Nashville and I was surprised at not only how insanely friendly it was, but how much more overtly conservative it was in comparison to OKC.
Nashville is so full of Dems and liberals that we have no hope of getting a Republican Mayor.
Also...the congressional seat is such a lockdown for Democrats that the current louse congressman Cooper runs UNCHALLENGED.
Grew up in Mid Tenn and Murfreesboro was, as a joke, the trashy little druggy brother of Mid Tenn towns. We came to realize it wasn't really a joke but rather entirely accurate.
There is no based big city in the US. I'm dead serious, you need a small town or a town in the middle of nowhere out in the plains or in the mountains.
Very true, but let’s take into account that some blue shitholes are shittier than others. For example, would you rather live in Washington, DC or Morgantown, WV?
There are also some cucked small towns. Usually they’re inhabited by former city dwellers. So Taos, NM or Vail, CO would not be good places to move to. Kek
Mods demand to know if Knoxville is based! You will probably be disappointed in Knoxville’s basedness. It is a college town. Knoxville and the surrounding suburbs not terribly based. If you go out to the rural surrounding areas it’s based.
I saw Charleston and about flipped till I saw WV. Charleston SC is cuck capital US for small sized city. Blue blood ass hats like Colbert all over the place. Honestly I don't think any male who lives in the city is straight. Drag queens outnumber even the Blood bloods.
Might I recommend Hilton head island? Way more to do than you will ever get done + beach. Wait, never mind, NY invaded to escape the lockdown and nobody can afford to live there anymore.
Knoxville is lame if ur used to bigger midsized cities but if ur from a smalltown its a real fun place. I like Chattanoga more, but Knoxvilles close to the beautiful Smokies.... and its a ghost town when UT is out of sessions.
I can't tell you if it's based or not as I've never been there and don't anybody who has, but I'm in the middle of a move myself and have found this site helpful: https://www.bestplaces.net/city/tennessee/knoxville
The "Categories" links on the left are especially helpful and break it down to things like Cost of Living, Religion, Politics & Voting, and Crime, and even Commute Time.
I spent a week in Knoxville just before the China virus. The city leadership is not based. The local college is very much not based. The people in the surrounding areas and many that work in the city are very nice and decent folks.
You could do worse, but you could do a lot better.
Good info, thanks. Definitely feel free to throw out any of the "betters" that come to mind. I'm open to different spots, just so's they're not on the coasts! Well, the left coast and the northeast, at least.
The Texas hill country South and West of Austin from San Marcos to Boerne. The economy is booming, lots of jobs, no state income tax. Trump country Texas.
We should target a midsize city and move there to takeover the political landscape. My city is midsized and solidly blue for the last 50+ years but the democrats only win by 3k votes due to low turnout. I’m not sure how many Pedes it’d take but it’s definitely possible to politically takeover a place like Asheville, NC or Chattanooga, TN.
The Leftist bike path / multipurpose trail fixation is amazing. I like a good trail as much as the next guy, but these people will neglect basic infrastructure maintenance to build trails, if you let them.
North Mid Tenn had some extremely based areas. And not far from Nashville. Kentucky border is less than an hour North of Nashville. Lifestyle options are not very prevalent but if one seeks based homefront and a major population center for a quick day trip lots can be had in the area.
I don't know if there's truly any one area that is pleasant anymore. We are such a mish-mosh of fucked up diversity that in my opinion no place is safe.
That city feels like the epicenter of the culture war. The city council is run by left wing nutties. However, the Anderson county mayor is conservative and fights for the people. There have been a few clashes between the two sides over the past year over mask requirements, having fourth of July fireworks, and other things. Also, lots of blue state transplants started moving there as well over the past few years. However, there are quite a few mom-and-pop businesses around town. They generally don't tell their politics, but if you get to know them, they will tell you that they are big Trump supporters.
City taxes are high , live in kingston or surrounding.. problem is doe provided ammenities into the 70s, because ofvthe national lab ORNL , when money dried up oak ridge started taxing, live out dide save 300 to 400 per month
Nope, those are definitely cucked. I’ve lived in each. New Hampshire has a lot of crime, too. Especially Manchester. Plus, the people are weird and stuffy.
I visited for a couple weeks. Live music everywhere and friendly folks. It's still a city and you realize that pretty quick when you go downtown and no one has an accent and it feels like you're in any other city in America.
Edit: I visited Nashville not Knoxville so disregard my comment
Lived there for 6 years. It's a liberal big college town. It's a lot of fun for a younger person, though. I miss it, but my time there was had when college was a LOT different. East TN is absolutely beautiful in general.
Knoxvile is mid-sized, meaning you can live 20 miles outside virtualy no traffic and not deal with in city issues. The wrestler Kane is the county mayor, the downtown is a bit blue , no filth, lived there for 20 years...
Native Tennessean here. Knoxville is great to visit especially in the fall ,but I would not want to live there. A little further east you’ll find some great little gems like Morristown, Johnson City and Bristol. I would advise looking closer at Chattanooga but stay away from Nashville and Memphis.
Knoxville has become more and more leftist over the years. Old City, Market Square, and Gay St are really bad. However, if you go over to Cumberland Ave near campus on Friday night, there are lots of college kids who don't wear masks. Farragut is the upscale portion of Knoxville, which has also become more left.
Some of the surrounding cities like Clinton, Harriman, and Rockwood are nice. Reminds me of the small town I grew up in Georgia back in the 80s.
Anywhere where there is diversity, and that diversity is not Asian or indian, that city will be a shit hole. Hispanic, black, African and Muslim diversity always create shit holes.
You might want to consider Cookeville, TN - a smaller town about 2 hrs east of Knoxville along I-40.
It's a college town. Tennessee Tech is located there so it doesn't close at 6PM like a lot of others. Beautiful countryside, lots of waterfalls in the area and probably 80% Republican (judging from all the Trump signs I saw before the election). Nice little town.
Assume all major cities are blue spots. Look for small towns
Statistically speaking if a jurisdiction has at least 800 people per square mile in terms of population density, the jurisdiction will more likely than not vote Democrat.
So basically every city.
It's also just the nature of the collectivism disease. Once the actual labor that goes into making your life work is no longer visible in your daily life, you start to lose what's left of your connection to the rest of humanity.

Also comes from the diversity disaster. People from different tribes occupying the same land aren't as invested in building a community up, so they're more likely to accept people who say the government will do it for them.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
Dominion also put some of the cheat in the rural areas, tweaking Trump votes into Biden votes just enough to barely escape notice.
I still can't get over how those smug pieces of shit used that name while handing commie tyrants DOMINION over the world.
They need to BURN.
Speaking of Dominion and US Geography, Dominion World Headquarters is located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
When do we start excommunicating these bullshit tabulators?

We need like the hardest right, populist candidate we can get in WV. No excuses.
Gov. Justice needs to go too. I consider it ultra-mandatory.
Avoid Morgantown and you're probably fine.
There's just no work in WV. I lived there until the manufacturing boom of Trump pulled me out of poverty
Ugh took a trip to harpers ferry a bit ago and its a disgusting leftist hellhole. I saw more blm signs per building than dc. But its not even a real town, i didnt get over to charles town a few miles down the road, maybe thats better? Ive also heard a lot of wv cities are college towns, so...
Harpers Ferry is a tourist area due to the history and river raft services. Also the place where both MDers and VAers go for booze and tobacco.

That and avg 190ft x 190ft area per person. Or avg of 3 people living on two football fields.
Gross.
likely than not
votestuff the ballot box Democrat.Politics in big cities is still as corrupt as the heyday of Tammany Hall.
This.
I am now trying to convince the wife to settle for country Utah or Oklahoma.

Have you smelled any city recently or anyone from a city? I'll take the cow shit.
That is a fair point.
I will take cow shit over a drug addict's piss any day.
Just ask Alex Jones about the detriments of Bum Piss. https://www.newswars.com/alex-jones-steven-crowder-tour-democrat-destroyed-austin-texas/
Haha that video is a classic
I hear they shit in the streets like animals.
In San Fransisco you get to smell human shit. So, there's that.
It's all the bum piss
Great name.
Thanks! I can always can tell who the OG t_d users are by those who get it. For me, it was one of the funniest things from the past 4 years.
There’s something very refreshing about the waft of manure floating in the window. I grew up with a cow pasture behind my house and I guess I got used to it
George Costanza?
It’s newer with a “ma” in front of it. Very refreshing.
theres nothing bad about it.... you break it down... Ma... positive... Newer... good.
Eh, it runs into the river and makes the rivers filthy and the fish gross. I much prefer the hillier areas where they can't monoculture commodities and all the farms grow actual food.
It reminds me of my grandparents, they had a small farm and I spent entire summers there
Hell yeah all those good farm smells. Long as it ain't chicken shit, that does wear out its welcome fast.
Cow shit and horseshit smell really isn't that bad. It's chicken shit and pig shit. Cow and horse is kinda earthy.
Live in a chicken area, can confirm.
Probably all the grass and grains they eat.
I live in an agricultural area of a farming state. It bothered me when I first got here but you get used to it, for sure. I don't even notice it anymore.
I’ve been pining for a place I could spruce up like that. Good place to put down some roots and never want to leave.
How many kids do you have dad ?
I asked my dad that question so many times and never could get a straight answer lol 😂
That joke was sappy.
He should have left it in the trunk.
I did not expect this comment thread 😂 love all you pedes
Lol
Moved cross-country (Maryland to Washington) last year. Drove through Arkansas-northwest Arkansas is the most beautiful area of the country I've ever seen.
Worth reading on the topic. Know your history.

That's just Mitt Romney you are smelling.
Steer clear of Lawton.
I've heard very interesting tales about Lawton from an Army grunt vet friend of mine.
Yeah. When I was at Sill one of my buddies was a Lawton cop. He told me there were like six gangs there. True shithole.
Lawton is a dump but you don't have to go that far out of town to get to some really pretty areas.
Wichita Mountains... buffalo, elk and feral longhorn cattle. Quite a sight.
https://tntcrimes.com/channon-christian/
Was living there when this happened.
And remember the white woke mayor at the time demanded “white supremacists and racists” not come to Knoxville to protest against this most heinous, disgusting and revolting of all black violent animal crimes.
Worst crime I've ever heard about in my life.
Consider yourself fortunate then.
That and that home invasion in CT (I think). Fucking makes your skin crawl the evil behind them.
Cheshire CT. Look that one up. It’s fucking infuriating
Bless your heart.
I remember this and the national media barely covering it. I don’t know how the young ladies’ dad kept his composure
Without a university in the small town.
Not Sydney Australia. That's where I would go.
Sorry, I just laughed at this. Hope you weren’t serious.
Lol mods sticky this? Lucky bastard.
I know right? Prolly a mod's post under an alt account.
Definitely. Mods love to sticky their own posts.
HAHA no, not a mod. I have no idea why it was stickied but I appreciate it!
Exactly what a mod would say
Well, I can't prove a negative. If I am a mod, I'm not aware of it.
Exactly what a mod would say..
He’s ModSexual
No ! Knoxville no!!
I hear Poland is nice at night. The country, Poland.
And us Polocks are seriously based.
Had many good nights in Krakow.
they've been stickying some weird stuff lately. It's odd...
Fuck all cities.
I started to feel this way when all these rappers made songs and anthems about cities. stupid songs with pitbull (who is surprisingly based btw) would just name every city they could to get people to cheer or something I never liked it. I felt proud that I grew up in an unincorporated part of the county
My “town” doesn’t even have a post office lmao I love it. No traffic, but still get good internet, beautiful scenery and no liberals
Literally all i need is a stable food supply, clean air and water, and good internet. Where you at fren im moving in ;)
Johnny Cash did it.
The difference is that Johnny Cash was naming places from all over that were both big and small. His point was, duh, he's been everywhere, man.
The rappers are all just glorifying urbanization. They don't give a shit about Tocapilla, Baranquilla, and Padilla.
Right. And The reason he remembered was because he'd actually been to those places.
NaNk% of the people in Knoxville, TN speak a non-English language, and 95.8% are U.S. citizens.
This is the real answer. 17% still high but not terrible
I'm looking to move somewhere that's less than 2%.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota might be a good place to look at.
Any small town in Utah.
West Virginia
places in ohio are like that. There are places that are 30-45 minutes from Cincinnati with that make up
20% is normal in the South/Black Belt
4.2% non citizens raises an eyebrow
I know, that is ridiculous. It must be bangin' there on Cinco de Mayo.
I forgot facts still exist in this world
This doesnt sound bad. 2x the national average? I consider it safe if it like under 4x. Pre covid id hang out in baltimore on the regular (theyre lousy with my fav kind of working class dive bars), and i think theyre like 25x... iirc worse crime rate than many latin american countries
Why are people so attached to urban dystopia?
If you're single and haven't given up yet, cities present more opportunities for night life. If I had a lady friend, I'd be moving to the middle of the woods.
You can drive to the city from the country if you feel you absolutley have to go there to find women.
i've spent most of life living on the outskirts and it has way more pro's than con's (in more ways than one).
bonus is when you do find yourself a a "lady friend" you can bring her out to a nice chill spot in the country where she feels safe enough to walk to her car without being raped by a savage crack monster.
a good chick enjoys a good bonfire.
^ this
then get a lady friend and move to the woods. Or are you intending to find a lady friend at the club...
No, not a club. Nevertheless, having lived in both rural areas and a large American city, you encounter a lot more people in a lot of different contexts being in a city. Living in a very rural area, you don't really encounter anyone. Which is what makes it nice, right?
Well yea but you probably have a higher chance to find the right people out in the "middle of nowhere" vs downtown bigcity
Learn to cook, find a potluck, cook something and bring the dish, introduce yourself to the community at the potluck.
There, no need for "nightlife."
Or find a constructive hobby and go to a hobby group/club.
Find a potluck? That’s your plan to meet women?
You can find women of all ages at church. Most churches have a Wed night bible study in addition to Sunday service. Bible studies are more casual and easier to meet new people.
I AIN'T FUCKIN AT CHURCH.
www.FarmersOnly.com Get you a nice, buxom, farm girl who love to wear shit-kicken boots and nothing else as she teaches you what a REAL roll in the hay is all about!
Can't find "good people" if you never find people
That is true but right now the city is not the place to be heading to, it is the place to be leaving.
If you meet a lady in the city, taking her out of the city is going to be difficult. If you have your own country paradise, ladies find you.
Ladies want security. If you've got the money to take them to the country and provide them with a home and safety to raise a family they will go. And if they don't want that then their not Mrs. Right for OP.
lol
He wants an independent, college educated tattooed cat-owning BLM-supporting upwardly mobile professional who don't need no man, but who does need to pay off the remainder of her 200k student loan
"ey my cousin just got killed by a dirtbag who took too much codeine and jacked somebody else's car this noon at 16th and Orange, the cops knocked on my door to ask me to identify him then pulled me aside for a twenty-minute interrogation when I used the word 'tripped,' but hey, there are two nightclubs and a barcade downtown I go to every two weeks so it's worth it"
Fuck night life.
"Nothing good ever happens after midnight" is pretty sound advice.
Everybody’s going to have a hobby bubbs.
What’s your hobby right?
Drinking
I don't hang out in blue strongholds of violence and debauchery that's for sure.
Go to my friends' houses or invite them over. Sometimes bike together on a trail. I don't see why it should get more complicated than that.
You certainly don't need to go to an nightclub for art and gamedev gatherings. Or tabletop. Or a co-op run of Resi6.
I always found paying to drug yourself and compromise your mental state weird and boorish.
Exactly this. But dating sucks.
Ah the luxury of being able to live out in the middle of nowhere.
Some of us have jobs to go to, kids to take to decent (private) schools and the need to be close to good hospitals because of said kids.
Sounds like prison, or New Jersey
Tens of millions work from home now and if you live in a rural area, you don't need private schools to protect kids from diversity.
No, my children need an LD school which means we have to live in a major metro area.
Life is not all about what I want, it's about providing the best for my kids. I'd love nothing more than live in a rural place, but I have to wait 8 years for that. People's lives are complicated, simple solutions are just that.
If I was single I'd see the appeal.
They aren't attracted to that. Wanting to live in a small area does not equate to wanting to forsake modern technology etc.
Wanting "everyone" to live in a place like that does imply exactly that. Or you're saying that everyone who wants to live like that is dependent on the good graces of the urban dwellers. A very weak argument. Maybe country living folks should put more effort into explaining why the two should be working together towards common goals.
The only one presenting a weak argument is you.
Please show me the city that has oil rigs or coal mines downtown.
Weak argument. Yes, the country living folks do need the urbanites if they want internet, electricity, etc. Lousy response, glowie.
For the same reason that wealthy elites are attracted to living in small closed-off communities.
When I go to any mid sized city I do the mall test. I wander around one day during the week for a few hours and on a Saturday for a few hours and study the people. Knoxville passed the test two years ago when I was there. The people seemed normal and cheerful. It seemed like a throw back to my town back in the 1980s.
Awesome strategy and response! This is very helpful, thanks.
Maybe wear a MAGA hat around town and no mask and see if you get assaulted or thumbs up?
Hahaha that would be a good test. Might have to reserve it for a man braver than me though.
Just conceal carry and shoot them dead when they attempt to assault you.
Pretty sure in TN you can open carry right? I'm in Texas, but I am almost certain TN is one of the most gun-friendly places in the country.
In this case you’d conceal carry to see if any leftist commie fags wild try to assault you. That way you can put them down instead of scaring them off with an open carry. But yes, Open carry is legal in Tennessee.
Really wish Texas would get with the program on that front
We’re trying to pass no gun permit for carry right now, hopefully they don’t cuck to Nashville
This is the way to do a litmus test!
I never wear a mask. Might get a few looks but no one has said a word except one little old lady at a shoes store.
You will.... unless you are by the university then some woke kids might stare
A supermarket is the best tell of a neighborhood. You can see if it is upmarket on whether or not they lock up the condoms and cosmetics.
Good idea but it in rural cities, even biggish ones like Knoxville regular folks don’t go to landry mats.
Wait.... I've been to many many many washaterias/laundrymats.... ALL had single moms with their 20+ unleashed kids running around. Do decent laundry mats exist???
Go to a few churches near where you are thinking about living. Talk with the locals.
IIRC, the Knoxville city mayor is a Dem, but the Knox County mayor is Glen fucking Jacobs, the former WWE wrestler. Libertarian-leanings.
I considered the town a while back. Generally speaking it’s a university town in the south, so it can be a swing city.
However, no shortage of based patriots, and you are right outside the smokies. Tons of opportunities to enjoy God’s creation.
Head further east to smaller towns like Kingsport and Johnson City, and you probably have all-Republican elected officials.
Knox Center (aka East Town) mall was shut down about a year ago because it became a hangout spot for thugs. West Town has gotten a lot worse over the years.
Some cities have multiple malls - which mall described by Chris Rock do you choose?
THIS!
Our mall is like that until about 4 or 5 pm. Then the bad folks rule
No one in my area goes to the mall, it’s probably going to be torn down to be honest, even tho it’s nice. But this is a good idea. I would walk around the main areas on both weekdays, evenings and busy weekends and see what happens
Knoxville is fun. But Oxford is much better if You want based. Knoxville is beautiful, Oxford has its own traditions. Both are pretty cool but Oxford hands down much more based
out of interest, could you provide an example of why Oxford is better? Or just why it's different.
Aussie pede here, just looking to learn more.
Oxford, Miss?
Yes sir
I'm so confused about the random comparison of Oxford MS to Knoxville when the OP asked and Knoxville.
I moved from Farragut to Oxford 4 years ago.
Knoxville isn’t better. Chattanooga is much better
I was spoiled enough to live in Farragut. Actually, I lived in Concord so I had the Farragut life without the Farragut taxes.
"Chattanooga is much better"
Explain please.
Much more based
You are crazy. Chat is a long distance suburb of Atlanta.
As an LSU fan allow me to respectfully disagree fellow pede.
No the hell it isn't
No, liberals from the surrounding areas have been flooding to Knoxville since it's a larger city and it's turned quite liberal.
There are smaller cities though that are based around that area though. So if you want to go to Knoxville for any reason it's an hour or so away.
I mean it is relatively peaceful in most places but the places that are nice are infiltrated with liberal garbage.
Tell the idiot to learn Latin, "sæculorum" doesn't mean "secular."
Ah, the internet educated mid-wit. The Dunning-Kruger effect manifest into a single, pathetic individual. Hard to take seriously someone who behaves, and often smells, like they have a problem with chronic masturbatory habits.
Marvel fans who are also condensing atheist is a surprisingly common archetypal person. Probably the western version of bugmen.
Did you get film? I would pay to see that.
Nice, that's a very interesting observation. Will have to keep that in mind going forward.
I'd say most cities around TN are more based than not, except for maybe Nashville.
Memphis is actually a lot worse than Nashville. Franklin and Brentwood keep Nashville pretty purple.
Yeah but no one would seriously consider memphis anyway, it just flat out sucks in every possible dimension. The only cool thing about memphis is going to "yard sales" to buy handguns and bootleg leather goods.
Or Memphis.
True I definitely wasn't thinking about Memphis but that's an obvious one.
My cousin was a cop in Nashville. A jogger tried to pull a gun on him and my cousin shot him in self defense. The liberals in the city ruined his life and protested him for years afterwards. His wife left him and took the kids because of all the death threats and his depression from the city trying to railroad him.
That's just most mid to large cities in America at this point.
Yep I had to write in a family member. Sad. I think Nashville might be about 35-40% based.
I wrote in my dog who passed away the year before.
Good luck pede most cities are fucked
I have no idea about Knoxville. I can tell you however, that Minneapolis, MN is NOT based. Steer clear of this dumpster fire at all costs.
You don't say? 😂
What ever happened with that RV bomb?
Sshhh!
That was in Nashville.
Who? RV boom man? Nah. Don't buy it. He'd of blown up a building full of corrupt officials or Antifa scum if that were the case.
His handlers maybe
Give Chattanooga a look.
I hear Murfreesboro is nice.
Went to MTSU back in 2006-2008. It was pretty awful, but I was also a trainwreck of a human being at the time.
Murfreesboro definitely had that college town feel to it.
Grew up in Mid Tenn and Murfreesboro was, as a joke, the trashy little druggy brother of Mid Tenn towns. We came to realize it wasn't really a joke but rather entirely accurate.
Good to know it wasn't just me. The people there just seemed perpetually depressed.
Chattown is one of the most liberal cities in TN.
Haven't lived there since 2013 so I'm probably out of the loop.
There is no based big city in the US. I'm dead serious, you need a small town or a town in the middle of nowhere out in the plains or in the mountains.
Sioux Falls, SD. Widely regarded as the healthiest city in the US
Very true, but let’s take into account that some blue shitholes are shittier than others. For example, would you rather live in Washington, DC or Morgantown, WV?
There are also some cucked small towns. Usually they’re inhabited by former city dwellers. So Taos, NM or Vail, CO would not be good places to move to. Kek
At this point im not sure anywhere is good to move to sans a deserted island.
Lol
it's a college town, so probably not
Mods demand to know if Knoxville is based! You will probably be disappointed in Knoxville’s basedness. It is a college town. Knoxville and the surrounding suburbs not terribly based. If you go out to the rural surrounding areas it’s based.
No, try Charleston WV
I saw Charleston and about flipped till I saw WV. Charleston SC is cuck capital US for small sized city. Blue blood ass hats like Colbert all over the place. Honestly I don't think any male who lives in the city is straight. Drag queens outnumber even the Blood bloods.
Based
Literally every city has that. Be realistic
Might I recommend Hilton head island? Way more to do than you will ever get done + beach. Wait, never mind, NY invaded to escape the lockdown and nobody can afford to live there anymore.
Don’t move to a city.
Knoxville is lame if ur used to bigger midsized cities but if ur from a smalltown its a real fun place. I like Chattanoga more, but Knoxvilles close to the beautiful Smokies.... and its a ghost town when UT is out of sessions.
Jeeze i bet ur sorry asked, only two people responded with any useful information.
Nice, that is very helpful. Will definitely be using it. Thanks!
Step 1- find and download “strategic relocation” pdf. Think it’s like $5-10. Step 2- study it. It’s worth every penny.
Stay out of TN counties with big cities in them. You are better off living an hour away or more.
We should target a midsize city and move there to takeover the political landscape. My city is midsized and solidly blue for the last 50+ years but the democrats only win by 3k votes due to low turnout. I’m not sure how many Pedes it’d take but it’s definitely possible to politically takeover a place like Asheville, NC or Chattanooga, TN.
move out to the country, make friends with rednecks, get back in the pines and lose your mind.
That does sound appealing.
There’s some really kickass places just outside of Knoxville and one of my favorite gyms is there.
If you’re renting, checkout the city. If you’re buying, checkout the rural areas to the north east.
The suburbs of it probably are. I wouldn't say the actual urban part of any city in this country is based though
I love Nashville- it’s definitely not based but it’s mixed. I’ve found a lot of moderates and conservatives here surprisingly.
I’ve heard mixed reviews about Knoxville. Check the election maps. TN is pretty solidly red. Chattanooga is pretty red.
I don't know but Kid Rock would be your neighbor (2 1/4 miles away)
County Mayor is also Kane from WWE
Yes, he's the Knox County mayor. The mayor of the City of Knoxville is Indya Kincannon, and she's a left wing nut case.
Indeed she is fren, bike paths and scooters, that will fix the issues
The Leftist bike path / multipurpose trail fixation is amazing. I like a good trail as much as the next guy, but these people will neglect basic infrastructure maintenance to build trails, if you let them.
(scott adams)
I like him but don't follow him closely. I assume this is something he has talked about? I've seen it in local government.
WOW!
That's north of Nashville, so about 2.5 HOURS away from Knoxville.
Oh you are right sorry, I'm stoned.
Anyone else have any recommendations besides Knoxville, and within the lower 48?
How Leftist is the local government? I assumed it would be bad because college town. Athens/Clarke County (UGA) sure is.
And only 3-4 hour drive to the beach!
Somebody recently told me Greenville, SC and surrounding areas were worth looking in to.
It's been discovered. Gonna be full of leftist trash soon.
Check out Oak Ridge instead...to live.
No city is based. As for crime and violence, your few choices are probably in Maine, NH or Vermont.
Nope, those are definitely cucked. I’ve lived in each. New Hampshire has a lot of crime, too. Especially Manchester. Plus, the people are weird and stuffy.
I haven't been there in a few years but it used to be. At this point I wouldn't even bother with cities. A country boy can survive.
Knoxville is full of transplants and hipsters. You don't want none'a that Dewey.
Fort Worth, TX is the largest conservative city. At least, it has been. Watch for Dominion fuckery in the near future.
Populated now by hipster liberal native Texans, and growing.
That title actually goes to Mesa, AZ
How do you figure? Fort Worth has nearly twice the population.
Northwest Arkansas is an amazing place to live. Plus I think they are offering bikes and money if you move here...much like Tulsa

Look and see if it has a Republican or dem mayor. If it’s a dem, you know it’s a blue shithole.
Shockingly simple advice. Now I gotta test it out.
