Can anyone tell me if Knoxville, TN is based? I'm looking for a midsize city with things to do at night but without the filth, trash, degradation, crime, and corruption of all the wonderful blue fuckhead cities.

How Leftist is the local government? I assumed it would be bad because college town. Athens/Clarke County (UGA) sure is.
