This.

I am now trying to convince the wife to settle for country Utah or Oklahoma.

It mostly smells like cow shit but you can't put a price on tranquility and knowing that your kids can walk up to school without having to see weirdos masturbating and/or shooting heroin on the sidewalk.

Have you smelled any city recently or anyone from a city? I'll take the cow shit.

That is a fair point.

I will take cow shit over a drug addict's piss any day.

Thanks! I can always can tell who the OG t_d users are by those who get it. For me, it was one of the funniest things from the past 4 years.

There’s something very refreshing about the waft of manure floating in the window. I grew up with a cow pasture behind my house and I guess I got used to it

George Costanza?

It’s newer with a “ma” in front of it. Very refreshing.

It reminds me of my grandparents, they had a small farm and I spent entire summers there

Jeffersonian_Man 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hell yeah all those good farm smells. Long as it ain't chicken shit, that does wear out its welcome fast.

Cow shit and horseshit smell really isn't that bad. It's chicken shit and pig shit. Cow and horse is kinda earthy.

Live in a chicken area, can confirm.

Probably all the grass and grains they eat.

I live in an agricultural area of a farming state. It bothered me when I first got here but you get used to it, for sure. I don't even notice it anymore.

I’ve been pining for a place I could spruce up like that. Good place to put down some roots and never want to leave.

KarenKarenKaren 4 points ago +4 / -0

I asked my dad that question so many times and never could get a straight answer lol 😂

Moved cross-country (Maryland to Washington) last year. Drove through Arkansas-northwest Arkansas is the most beautiful area of the country I've ever seen.

Worth reading on the topic. Know your history.

Steer clear of Lawton.

4
conservativeyuppie 4 points ago +4 / -0

I've heard very interesting tales about Lawton from an Army grunt vet friend of mine.

2
MasonJoe777 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah. When I was at Sill one of my buddies was a Lawton cop. He told me there were like six gangs there. True shithole.

2
Defender110 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lawton is a dump but you don't have to go that far out of town to get to some really pretty areas.

Wichita Mountains... buffalo, elk and feral longhorn cattle. Quite a sight.
