I've heard that but they had the economic power and power in general to stop our institutions from being completely corrupted (not just bitch about millennials or whatever and yes we deserve that). Now we are here. I should be young and free and now I'm looking at pre end times like "welp" looks like all the fun and success is gone for our generation and of course the younger ones.
Good point. Man seriously I'm watching films from the 90's and early 2000s and it's so ridiculously free compared to now it strangely makes me feel comforted and sad at the same time. What the fuck happened? I'm in my late twenties and just totally disillusioned with what's going on.
I'm no expert, but I do believe in the cultural pendulum that swings.
In the 2000s the Dixie Chicks were canceled, and it wasn't cause of their name (look that up if you don't know)
The pendulum has now swung the other way. It happens. It'll swing back. This site is a good example of that. We used to have a seat at the cultural table, and now we're not even allowed inside the building.
You're a lot freer than you think. Your freedom and success is out there, you just have to take it. You're allowed as much of those two things as you're willing to take.
