It is and always be an individual choice to have faith.

It must be this way. The Lord wants you to have faith in him but will not force it upon you. It must be your individual choice to believe.

Among all these harsh evils that the Lord allows in this world and among all the blindness and confusion he allows, he gives a choice. Have faith in him or perish. Even while you do not have faith he still loves you and hopes in you. His world is still open to you the day that begin to believe. But only you can make the choice, that despite everything, all the chaos and nothing, the absurdity, the pride, to believe in something greater than yourself. It must be this way.
