If just 10 percent of the Democrats realized they alone hold the power to solve the problems they yap about. I'm pretty optimistic about the exodus that's happened from the cities. It's not a lot but it's a real step forward.

So you think their ideas change when their zip code changes? The desire to leave does not have to include a deep analysis of what happened to make them leave. It OFTEN does not.
The people you see are precisely those who preferred to simply leave rather than "use their power to solve the problems they yap about." You are correct, of course they could solve them. But they didn't. They just left.
Or, maybe you are wrong about their power. Maybe they couldn't do anything but leave.
And maybe your area is going blue. Do some talking to them. Try to keep that from happening. Because it is what usually happens. Lifelong reflexes are ingrained and hard to change.
There have even been cases of people who just plain turned around and went back. They didn't like the viewpoint of the rural area. They were also bored stiff. And found nobody wanted to learn from them.
And I'll caveat that I know not everyone that's left cities has Trumpism like me but if even 1 in 5 its Huje!
Colorado btw
People who leave California need to be made to admit to themselves who they voted for in California that made California a place they didn’t want to live in anymore.
Same with people leaving cities.
Not everybody leaving California are the Democrats. We’ve lost a lot of Republicans and Independents who are fed up with the Democrats too.
In fact I’d say that’s the majority, except to states like Arizona and Texas, lots of Democrats move to those states. The others tend to move to the deeper red ones.
