After strong showings in recent (2018) elections and with popular sentiment turning against Macron, a nationalist "France First" style swing is looking increasingly likely. Voters have had it with Macron after ten years. The French Catholics, conservative by nature, liberal by politics, appear to be shifting right in numbers. After years of having every political trick in the book thrown at her, it seems the public is largely on to the Swamp of France and has grown unaffected by the tricks.
