Apparently both you and the cop are psychics. You can see the future, the future in which this man commited some sort of crime against some other person.
Unfortunately, us normal people only got to see what actually happened. A government employee made the decision to end a man's life, even though this man harmed nobody.
The cops were content to follow UNTIL the perp started driving into oncoming traffic. He was a danger to society when he was driving at 100+ MPH, but to do so on the wrong side of the road tripled his threat level.
I think it's totalitarian to kill someone who hasn't harmed anyone else. Morality and patriotism agree with me.
You seem to be justifying immoral behavior because of the laws that were written. Sure, it was legal for that cop to kill that guy. But let's not pretend it's not an infringement of human rights.
For future reference: My dude... laws should be derived from morality. Morals shouldn't be derived from government laws. Have a think about it...
Would it be ok if I put a single bullet in a revolver, spun the cylinder, pointed it at a random person and pulled the trigger so long as the firing pin doesn't strike the primer? Cause that's essentially the argument you are making.
