I moved to Los Angeles a lifelong liberal. During those 5 years I lived there, I became a conservative. I will tell you this - Newsom is widely hated. The homeless epidemic is way worse than reported. They implemented a 10 fee for every plastic bag you get at the store, but the store gets to keep the income from it. It incentivizes waste, while most cucks pay the extra money with a smile on their face because they think they're somehow helping the environment. The taxes are unreal and the cost of living is absurd. The electrical grid is trash and they have had years to put together a solid forest management plan, yet wildfires ravage the state every year.

They SUCK.

Even Anna Kasparian from The Young Turks said she signed the recall because the homeless thing has gotten insane.

It's so bad. Cops don't come if they're on private property. I lived at an apartment building with private parking and would have to clean used needles and never-ending amounts of trash off of the walkway to my girls car when she was pregnant with our son. Random homeless people would show up and set up camp on our property, smoke crack, sleep in the middle of the walkway to our cars. The only recourse was to call a number that didn't do anything. The city would have someone drive by like a week or so after a call, they were never there when they'd drive by.

When our son was born we couldn't even take him for a walk around the block without entire sections of sidewalk being blocked off by homeless people that had literally taken over entire sections of sidewalk and benches and had trash and personal belongings strewn from the beginning of the sidewalk all the way to the curb and would either be sleeping or getting loaded in broad daylight. Thing is, we didn't live in a bad area either.

When I moved to LA the homeless problem was bad. When we left LA there was a homeless encampment under just about every single bridge/overpass. Not just one or two tents. More. It is difficult to grasp just how widespread it is. You wouldn't believe it unless you've seen it... & yet they do NOTHING.

I live 2,000 miles away. Thanks for the first hand account of how bad it truly is.

I live in Ottawa, so we have nothing like this yet.. but I can picture it because I've seen some videos..

Homeless are like suicides, nobody reports that shit in the newspaper and its really hard to get a number on something like that if they're not cared for in any way. Lets say you think there are over 1m homeless in LA... nobody knows if its 2m.. and certainly nobody notices when someone goes missing from being homeless.. so I'm sure those camps are dangerous as hell. cannibals on the loose and all..

I took an insane picture of a homeless camp on the middle of Westport in KCMO yesterday. Our homeless here are trying to get an union together. No joke.

I left in 2018 for the promised land (Texas).

For years I’ve hated the culture there, and especially the government.

I don’t like the the life style of being stuck in traffic, constantly stressed, and out of money. I made good money but it’s never enough there.

I just fucking hate that place so much. I’m so glad I’m out.

The forest mismanagement was a known issue since I moved there almost 20 years ago. The homeless “crisis” was just picking up right when I was leaving. My area was more affluent and rarely would you see them but as time went on there were more and more. Turns out Los Angeles was bussing them over.

And yeah the plastic bag ban, what a bunch of dumb fucks. I missed out on the plastic straw ban though.

I have seen some of the videos out of LA and Venice. It looks surreal and would me insane.

All the $$ that is thrown at the homeless issue and nothing changes. I am looking at you NYC and SF. It is only going in someone's pocket.

The Progressive Wing of the Democrat Party in California are unhappy that Newsom isn't Progressive enough and are supporting the recall in order to push the state government further left.

I don’t think that is the case. Bernie Sanders is super opposed to the recall. The people that are recalling are fed up parents who are tired of having homeless people shutting in their yards while their kids stay home from school.

At least last month they were

Gavin probably cutting some deals to get Democrats who would challenge him in a recall to support him. Who knows, Bernie may have been offered a Vaccation Home on the California coast if he would support Newsom. And we have seen how quickly Bernie will sell out.

We had a virtual signalling 10 fee yes, then people started bringing their own bags, got shamed for the 10 fee and plastic waste, until covid and cat shit. No one wanted to touch people's cat hair shit germ bags from home and started wearing gloves, then covid happened and it was back to plastic.
