One of the ways you can tell that this government is finished is by it's regular use of political devices even when they aren't valid excuses (standing, laches, etc) to ignore doing their job function of redress of grievances. This is why I gave up on SCOTUS long ago. They only deal with things that are in their comfort zone and or are politically advantageous to them. As the court is quite clearly politicized.
Or in other words suing the federal government for a redress of grievances is no longer a viable tool. We have to handle this at the state level which is plenty viable once you understand how our form of government works.
The federal government has to be very significantly down sized and the federal court system, including SCOTUS, over hauled.
