These aren't jet fighter flight suits. What Is likely behind this is two fold. 1) there is a huge pilot shortage in the military … most of which are not jet fighter pilots, but rather logistics pilots, essentially military fedex and airline pilots. and 2) women are intentionally getting pregnant to avoid various different responsibilities/obligations like deployment or TDY, i.e., long haul fights. What they're saying is that pregnancy is now no longer an excuse, and yes, there are women who get medial exemptions and never deploy anywhere.
I would prefer if we just didn't send any of our soldiers anywhere in the world, but that's what the globalist regime is doing as it has overtaken the USA and turned it into a totalitarian regime.
The military pilot problem was all about retention, due to people bolting to the airlines, once their contracts were up. Now that the airline industry is being destroyed, the military shortage is going reverse into a backlog.
I want to agree about the flight suits, I really do. 9g environments are a non-starter, for pregnant women. Unfortunately, with the world in which we currently reside, I would have absolutely zero surprise, if Biden put a 9 month pregnant woman into an F-35. Zero. They’d put her in air shows. Announce zero radius turns as “The Abortion!”.
I don't think pregnant women have the bladder to do anything that takes more than 15 minutes withouyt a break. At least that is how it was with my wife. But that was only for a few weeks.
Sorry, but this is bad information. A few points from a military pilot:
Flight suits are just green coveralls, they do not have any mechanism to allow you to pull more Gs, that would be a G suit.
Pregnancy drives a DNIF status at a certain point (Duties Not Including Flying). I dont know what that point is, but as the name suggests, you can't fly while DNIF.
Not all pilots pull crazy G's. I'm a cargo pilot, the most we commonly pull is 2. We have plenty of pregnant women flying if they arent past a certain point in their pregnancy. It's probably different for pointy-nose planes but pregnant women can still fly heavies.
Even in DNIF status, pilots can train in simulators. We do a lot of training in Sims for things we can't do in the plane.
Pilots do more than fly. The longer we are in the AF, the less time we spend flying and the more time we spend doing office work, or being "chained to the desk" as we call it. Anyone who is DNIF can still work in the office, and there is no reason pregnant women should be uncomfortable while working. We wear flight suits everyday, not just the days we fly.
Pregnant women can't deploy. They may still be able to fly downrange in the case of us heavy drivers, but I'm not sure.
It's easy to spread bad information or out of context information if you can't possibly have the context. Maternity flight suits are a good thing, regardless of who the president is. We are not sending pregnant women to war.
I looked this up today, because I was curious: apparently pregnancy is no longer an automatic DNIF. Instead, they let the woman decide when she’s no longer capable of flying. Change happened back in 2019 or 2020. WTF.
A lot of people here clearly don’t understand the difference between stateside duty and deployments. There are plenty of women who wear flight suits as their daily duty uniform for a fucking desk job (obviously not supposed to, but pilots always kick up a fuss when you try to take their flight suits away).
That being said, with the new OCP flight suits, why is a maternity flight suit warranted? Just wear the two piece and switch to maternity OCPs when you have to. I can’t imagine it’s workable to be flying with a belly large enough to justify those stupid stretchy pants. At some point in pregnancy, physically, you can’t do that job anymore.
One would think that apparel designed to increase pressure against the abdomen would be harmful to someone that is pregnant.
The left is in favor of anything that will expedite the death of a fetus.
"Death From Above" will now be co-opted by Planned Parenthood I guess.
I hate that you made me laugh at that.
But muh "clump of cells!"
But muh "The Child will be made comfortable, while the Parents and Doctor discuss what to do with the Fetus." -Governor of VA.
Especially if the mother is a highly-skilled fighter pilot. Can't multiply those genes.
Turns em into soup, easier for the interdimensional vampires to digest
Anything to kill an unborn child.
The left really hates children .. unless those children are anchors whose moms vote for socialism.
Or sniffing targets
or sex slaves
Nah, they hate those children too. Where do you think they get all their victims for their private islands?
but muh new Ferrari!!!
