Be careful what you wish for. This means that pregnant Navy and Air Force personnel do not have to be removed from theater. Remember the Love Boat from the Gulf War? As soon as the shooting started, the women got knocked up and were removed from the ships.
Even during a relative peace time, women still got knocked up to avoid deployment.
I knew a master sergeant in the Air Force who got knocked up every time a new deployment came around to make sure she never went. This bitch has like 6 kids, all from different fathers. She spent her pregnant times studying to make rank. Now she is master sergeant that doesn't have to deploy at all. This was all when Obama was president.
The system is broken.
She ended up getting kicked out under Trump, and rightfully so.
I like the idea that for every pregnancy, you tack on another year or two on your enlistment. It won't stop the lifers like you're msgt but it should stop the people that join up just to have kids and then gtfo with a va rating due to pregnancy related reasons
This is the only positive to come out of this. They sign up, get all that lovely training for "free", then get knocked up when it's time for the government to collect on that investment.

Such bullshit. If you never deploy, you shouldn't get promoted anywhere past an E2.
Pregnancy like any other medical condition should exclude you from combat positions. Same for mental illness like body dysmorphia.
Indeed. MEN went to war to protect the Women and Children. Now we're sending both to War.

this pede gets it.
this is about 'caring' and thereby removing any excuses from 'them' opting out.
this is about getting more canon fodder.
