Young people have not experienced what we experienced. Half the shit we did as kids would be considered domestic terrorism today and we grew up with options in life. We could go to college or get a high paying job nearby, start a business, speak our mind, and forge relationships in our community. We were allowed to be who we wanted to be without being attacked for it.

This generation only hears the stories but never have experienced them and they have seen more wars, plandemics, hate, riots, and identity/race politics than we ever did. We didn't worry about what we said as homophobic or racist it was just considered crude or in bad taste and there were no reprecussions. Now young people are conscious of everything they say and do and are being scruitinized for it. Most just want to fit in than stand out.

Civano -- I don't think my kids really understand what we are losing because they are kids. They don't have that prior knowledge, the travel, the experience to realize that this country is the best country on the planet. Freedoms are abstract to them and they see the evolution of events and how it is going to impact them. They don't see the jobs that they are never going to have a chance to get not based on skill but the color of their skin. Before they know it they won't even be trying for those jobs because they know they don't have a chance based off of race/identity politics.

People of old, even the wealthy, had an obligation to be thankful and humble for everything they received but that is no longer the case. Everyone is out for the here and now and screw the future, get it while you can, and everyman for themselves.
