Good thing he didn’t ask for a photo of your 10mm. You know it’s missing just like all 10mm sockets.

I had a nice 10mm . ratchet on one end, wrench on the other .. $15 at Harbor Freight but it was my favorite and most useful tool in a plant with mostly European made machines.

Fucker went missing 6 weeks after I bought ... found it sticking out of my tool bag 1 1/2 years later ... never figured out who heisted it.

Assholes stealing tools ... penalty should be same as horse thieves.

I think it’s hilarious that someone actually gave it back after that long.

Same ... I couldn't fucking believe they returned it. Actually made me feel bad for how pissed the original theft made me. Guy prolly just needed a 10mm in a hurry (we've all been there) and then forgot who he lifted it from ...

Really? He LOST the 10mm after lifting it. He would have no doubt returned it that day. Hell he probably found it wandering across the shop and nabbed it but LOST it trying to find you to let you know your 10mm was getting away and had been looking for it ever since.

When I was a auto mechanic I saw a few ass kickings over “borrowed” tools.

I ordered a bundle of 15 of those just to scatter around the garage, and in the backs of all our vehicles. Hasn't made a world of difference or saved my bacon at all , but it wasn't expensive and seemed like a thing to do. So I did.

Maybe one day I'll need one super bad and it'll be right there. Who knows.

I am certain that 10mm sockets don't actually exist, atleast I can't ever find one.

They exist until you try to find them, the instant you need one they all phase shift and go into another dimension
