Local store gets ammo shipments on specific days, so I headed over just after opening to see what they had left after the vultures had their first pick. They didn't have anything I needed but I called my uncle to see if he had any requests while I was there. He didn't so I started leaving the store empty handed.

As I'm headed out, some rando asked me if I'd buy him ammo instead (there's a 2 box limit per day). Noticed he was empty handed and had a shifty grin on his face but otherwise 'nondescript white guy'.

Just a warning that selling ammunition, even a single bullet at cost, without a FFL06 is a federal crime. It's retarded but the ATF will do shit like this to entrap law abiding citizens who value their 2A.

Be smart. Be safe. Fuck communists.

From your own link.

"II. KNOWINGLY SELL, GIVE OR OTHERWISE DISPOSE OF ANY FIREARM OR AMMUNITION TO ANY PERSON WHO FALLS WITHIN ONE OF THE ABOVE CATEGORIES: 18 USC § 922(d). Punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment."

So if a guy is clearly unable to buy the ammo himself, hence acting like a teen outside a liquor store, and you give or sell him ammo, then you would be violating this law.

Knowingly

So if they say they are a felon then yeah, a crime.

Have fun defending yourself from jail. You can tell the officer this as they throw you into the back of a squad car. Wonder how much it will cost and whether or not you will keep your job?

Haven’t people learned they don’t care if you are innocent or not? They have quotas to meet after all.

Well, I better just hide in my house and not do anything because they could come and get me any time.

Better wear 3 masks because safety!

You should have stockpiled ammo months ago!

If they weren't a felon and were legally able to buy ammo then why would they be outside asking soneone else to buy ammo for them? Like a 19 year old asking you to buy them beer. They don't need to tell you they are underage. A reasonable person would ascertain that information. Don't think for a moment that a court would go easy on you.

Better self police your speech, fren. Commies aren't going to go easy on you. Mine as well give up your rights now.

Not going to happen. Knowing the laws and how they are enforced doesn't mean I follow them. If you are going to rebel just don't make it easy for them to take you down.

KNOWINGLY

And that is not what OP stated. he stated authoritatively it is illegal to sell ammunition without an FFL.

That is not correct.

If the dude indicates he is a prohibited person, you’re in knowingly territory.

Hope your recording. Your word against his in court if it's an ATF.

If you’re in knowingly territory it’s time to stop, look, listen and get the fuck out.

No, the point is if you do not know and you are approached, and your sole argument is "he didn't tell or suggest to me he was prohibited" and the officer says he did tell you, what happened doesn't mean fuck all because it's your word versus a cop. Unless your recording.

So don't do it. Unless your recording and you trust 12 other people to interpret the saying EXACTLY how you did.

the guy is unable because of a stores imposed 2 box max... not because of being prohibited. Presumably.
