The Democrats create incentives 'for families' so scum who just want to get into the US by any means necessary will kidnap, purchase or otherwise tragically acquire a child or children to take with them as they cross the US border because they believe it will get them looked upon favorably or compassionately since they are accompanied by children.
The Leftist is so stupid they actually believe anyone crossing a border illegally with a child is doing it to better the child's circumstance and their tiny brains can't comprehend that the reason we separate the children from the adult is because the majority of the time there is no actual proof that the child belongs to that adult.
You can have open borders. The US had open borders for a very long time. You cannot have open borders with a guaranteed minimum income - social welfare programs. You can have one or the other.
The sad thing about the current border situation is that it is better than legally opening the border. If a person is here illegally, working under the table, the employer gets cheaper labor, Americans get cheaper products, the government does not get their cut, the laborer is ineligible for direct social welfare.
The Democrats want the worst of every possible world because they have a perverse incentive to get votes. The only silver lining to a Democrat platform is that if they ever actually give people what they promise there is no longer a need for Democrats and they lose. So only fools believe that someone else is going to fix their problem. And the Democrat platform is "We will fix your problem if you give us absolute power" but once they have power they don't need you, or to fix your problem, because if they did they would lose their power.
