Stop making the red line at "confiscation" or you'll be left scratching your head with no rights and a closet full of useless scrap.
They will push for banning online sales of guns and ammo, they will push CA style background checks on ammo, they will push for registries and licensing.
Now if you are stopped with a gun in your car, 10 years in prison without a license.
Going to the range? Not without a license.
Buying ammo? Not without a license.
Buying reloading supplies? You get it.
They don't care if you have some guns buried in your yard.
You already proved you wouldn't use them when it mattered, so it worked out perfectly.
The red line needs to be: NO NEW GUN LAWS - PERIOD.

the 1st and 14th amendments have been ruled to effectively mean the government can't restrict you in how you practice your religion, speech, or LGBTQ status. there's no reason the same logic doesn't apply to the second amendment -- no restrictions on types of firearms. arguing an AR15 is more dangerous than a 22 LR muzzle loader is no different from saying muslims are more dangerous than buddhists.
