I'm beginning to think that, although I've called them RINOs for a long time, they aren't actually Republicans in name only. They are Republicans. That's what they actually are. Trump tried to do a hostile takeover of the Republican party, and I thought he had succeeded. But it is Trump that was the exception that proves the rule.
And I say all this as someone who has voted a straight Republican ticket since 1996.
