Just sent this message to him through the Texas.gov contact page. Wouldn't be terrible if other people jumped in and did the same:
Dear Mr. Abbott,
Regarding your comments about Gab, it would be really nice if you would bother getting your facts straight before labelling a free speech platform as anti-semetic. It would be nice if instead of vilifying free speech you were using your position to do more to protect it, but after this last year it's become pretty clear protecting freedom is not one of your priorities.
Maybe we could've avoided the suffering and violations of freedom caused by your unscientific and unconstitutional covid mandates if you had bothered to familiarize yourself with the actual scientific data and evidence surrounding masks and limiting business capacity. There is no statistically meaningful data showing masks reduced contraction or transmission of covid (or any virus for that matter) and the same is true for restricting business occupancy. Yet basic facts didn't stop you from infringing on Texan's basic rights, so I guess they wouldn't stop you from slandering a free speech platform, either.
The pattern emerging here is that you act without sound information to guide you, and that is troubling to say the least.
As Governor, especially of a State that is supposed to be an example of freedom to the rest of the world, we are expecting you to do better than this.

Man, you are way too nice in your treatment but good job none the less in giving a good example.
