This was the very first thought I had when I first read this in the morning. I was like, holy shit, no. These fuckers will join our side and fucking destroy everything.

Like the LA fuckers moving to Houston and starting to destroy Texas.

This is a cultural war that will need to be fought far beyond the media. You cannot run a society where the people moving the levers of power have no fucking clue.

Texas is really the saddest thing, isn't it? Projected to go blue by 2030 if we don't start moving there ourselves. Too many locusts moving to DFW/Austin/Houston

Texas just needs to also "fortify" their elections and simply ignore any court that says otherwise and stomp out anyone who objects.

I was watching Timcast today and they were talking about the communist autonomous zones that are allowed to exist by everyeone. Even police are not allowed in.

The guest basically chimed in and said why don't we make a right autonomous zone and show them how it's done?

Well, I have an idea. Why don't we take that and make Texas a right wing autonomous zone and start driving out all the liberals?

Texas should just pass laws making possession of pot a felony enforced statewide, no exceptions in the cities.

Give it a year and Austin will go red.

said why don't we make a right autonomous zone and show them how it's done?

Very simple, we (the right wing) do not possess the leadership roles or any institutional support structure within the police or FBI that would allow us to make a move like that while sympathetic powers turn a blind eye to us like BLM and Antifa has.

Political violence is a serious game and you need to posses some sort of support at the very least within the politics and the police that allows you to get away with it.

Im for this. But only if the people who want to live there can never leave. We put a fence up around it and no one is allowed out. It would be like self imposed prison for liberals...

Because the people that were alive when Texas was Blue are dying off and they're are fewer people who remember the corruption and lies that they used before.

Okay, that is a great point. I retract. I meant it in the 10 000 foot view that communists don't understand basics of survival and economics and the only reason they have the ability to hold those views is on the backs of those in society that produce.

However, you are more correct than I, they indeed do know what they are doing. And I agree. Now that President Trump has a 4 year break, we have to move forward and start build strong defenses, strong offenses and absolutely crush this once and for all.

Agreed. At all costs.

Have you ever listened to a Zizek lecture? They don't expect everyone to thrive - only the party. The weaponized famine is part of the plan, collapse is expected, all in service of the revolution.

These things are necessary to make the population submit to the system, while the party apparatus - that couldn't get their dick out of the dirt in even an over-regulated free enterprise environment - now enjoys the fruits of our labor.

The gentleman above was exactly correct: they know exactly what they're doing.

Goes even further back. The neoconservatives that infected the Republican party were originally 1960's Democrats that got cancelled by their own side. Basically all their globalist warmongers that supported Vietnam became Republicans

Really? I didn't know this. Huh, added topic to reading list. Thanks.

Yup, its fascinating stuff, I'm surprised that the wikipedia page still has useful info on the topic. For your reading list and a deeper dive, you'd probably be interested in

Age of Iron: On Conservative Nationalism by Colin Dueck
Special Providence: American Foreign Policy and How It Changed the World by Walter Russell Mead
Promised Land, Crusader State: The American Encounter with the World Since 1776 by Walter McDougall

Age of Iron is a shorter read and focuses on Trump/MAGA's long pedigree in American conservatism, while the other two books are a bit denser

It wasn't vietnam warmongering and globalism as we think of it today that drove the rift in the dem party. The general chaos of that era, vietnam related conflict between boomers and the wwii generation. The violent protesting. Yes, there was a lot of antifa and blm style shit going on back then. To include bombing of judges and police stations. It wasn't all mellow and half baked hippies.) It was the smoke and flash of the magic trick. The much vaunted party swap, Dems becoming bleeding heart socialists and repubs becoming greedy racists. Nothing really changed but the branding and media labels sure did. It was however, the begining of baby boomers taking over and not letting anyone in behind them. Easy money for unemployable smoothbrains with entitlement issues.

Young baby boomers began taking over the democrat party in 68. See 68 democratic convention riots in chicago. The focus of the democrat party shifted from Jim crow and boss hog style politics to socialism with intent to later join international communism. The 'new' democrats were usefull idiots and shills for the Soviets. See Bernie Sanders.

The repub party identity prior to 2001 was merely about not being commie democrats. The 'neocon' nonsense was mostly a label dreamt up by post Sept 11 media. Bush admin schenanigans were a departure from previous repub admins and apparently warranted a new label. Largely it was baby boomer republicans being fudds and playing right into media and democrat agendas. Never-do-wells from conservative families who themselves were politically illiterate. No wonder they failed so miserably.

Just like now. The fud repubs don't want any responsibility. They want the Dems running things. Whenever repubs run things they get tricked made fun of and cry. And that's when they don't just fuck up outright.

You're right that the 'new' Democrats that embraced socialism drove the Dems that became the neocons out of the Dem party with the identity politics/cancel culture of the day. The leftist militants/black power movement scared the shit out of these Democrat whites and Jews with their anti-white/antisemitic racism

However, these former Dems then claimed that their political beliefs actually made them conservatives and suddenly realized that they were Republicans (lol). Seriously, look up any of the major players involved with neoconservatism, Almost all were former Democrats or were mentored by them

Also, I'm not sure where the label itself of 'neoconservatism' originated from, but I do know that the term 'paleoconservative' arose for a reason. As a counter and way to differentiate themselves from the newcomers into the party. The paleos were the members of the GOP who were there before the neocons flooded in, and even before Barry Goldwater

Literally House Hunters tonight was a couple born and raised in California who in their words moved to Fort Worth sight unseen because so many people from California are moving to Texas and they must be on to something.

BigChad 3 points ago +3 / -0

Anyone wonder why that episode makes the air?

Cause it'll make other Dems get the "they must be on to something idea" and move there too.
