And it is only going to get steadily worse until Americans are too impoverished to muster the strength to do anything about it. And do not get me wrong, I am not a anti capitalist by any stretch. I am however in the fiscal libertarian tradition a vehement anti cronyist...

Capitalism breaks down at the monopoly. Which is why regulation is needed to enforce competition.

Communism breaks down because it ignores human nature.

Socialism is state sponsored monopolies.

Distributism is the only way to go. Why place regulation when you can make monopolies almost impossible to create?

It's a perfect marriage between of capitalism and human dignity. Barring that I would like to see a tax system that punishes people that pay as little as possible in order to take as much profit from their workers as possible. The boss deserves to get more then any one worker but no one should be as rich as a handful are today. If corporate would take a pay cut the rest of us would have more to spend.

With out demand there is no economy, if workers can't afford a product it can't sell. Supply side economics ignores this. Hell even lots of markets are going unexploited. Think about how many more people could afford homes if they were built to the same size as your average apartment. Most people wouldn't give two shits because they already have lived in an apartment for too much of their lives. Even still some shit head rich asshole would just buy them up to rent.

Talk about a deck being stacked against you! I jumped around a lot but boy oh boy do I love to talk about this sort of stuff so forgive my erratic post and take it for what it is.
