The scary part is how many people (usually of a female mindset (but not necessarily female...)) unthinkingly buy into ideas that require their own enslavement.
Politicians of the time gave women the right to vote because they knew they were another demographic that could be manipulated. It had nothing to do with altruism. Women have done a hell of a job in helping big government expand to the size it is now.
If I were to have a guess I'd say it's because men are hunters and providers, you HAVE to feed your family even if that means taking away from someone else, then they return home and the woman shares it equally between herself and the children. Essentially free market capitalism vs communism mindset. Maybe also the more feminine quality of wanting to give care to those who have less, but that doesn't work that well in the real world, because if you receive care when you're failing then why would you try to succeed? I do wonder how society would change if women were banned from politics.
