He’s not a politician or he would have been allowed to win this time.
He’s not an establishment politician/was not involved in politics prior to running for president. But running for president, by default, makes you a politician.
A "politician" who does not make money or become a millionaire with politics, that is what President Trump is.

If my city council gets to consider themselves politicians , I'd hope someone who served as president can.
Everyone else being mad that it was their "turn" and that they'd done their "time" for 20-30 years doesn't have any bearing on that. They sucked then, they suck now, always and forever.
Maybe it's actually the reverse.
If a Politician is someone who represents and works for the people, then Trump is a Politician, along with just a handful of others.
The rest, who call themselves politicians to make themselves seem important, are just criminals and con men.

Modi in India? I wasn't his biggest fan but India dealt quite a reverse against China in their clash in the Himalayas last year. If war had actually broken out - India has several disadvantages but their army is far more capable than the PLA.
