Our local school is trying to tell a group of people that if they want to speak at the school board meeting that they are required to wear a mask. However, our governor has stated that government buildings cannot force anyone to wear a mask or they will lose cares act funding. Just trying to get my facts straight.

Yes.

*caveat: schools are considered primarily under the jurisdiction of the local gov't. and county or the region....so, if your local gov't. has a mask rule, then it can be followed and/or if your local school board declared a mask rule, then it can be followed (many places still have those rules on the books, perhaps conveniently forgot to take them down; you may have to remind the local school board that they have to dismiss their mask rules)

Our community does not have a mask ordinance. I fought like hell with a few other patriots and we got that shot down! Working on the schools now! I would assume that the board has the mask rule so I guess we will have to "obey".
