They do believe this dumb shit but I can't help but think of "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" because there are plenty of people on the Right that believe equally ridiculous bullshit. "Libtard" "Shill" "Commie", there now people don't have to waste their time calling me that just because I think Qanon is fake boomer nonsense.

That's the joke: conspiracy theories are on all sides. Hell, it used to be one of the things the two sides could come together on--I was a lefty listening to Alex Jones back in the day, and none of my "comrades" objected. At one point, he was the only one covering several environmental scandals and he was relatively popular among the left for it.

That said, when the RNC platform begins complaining about reptilians drinking infant blood or whatever, then maybe it'll be truly comparable. Or if the Republican party starts booting people for not believing Q crap. FFS, the RNC at this point is basically a "big tent" party: we've got libertarians, conservatives, liberals, weird conspiracy people, capitalists, populists... The only real "ask" is a belief in American exceptionalism and liberty: I've watched people across the ideological spectrum welcomed with open arms into this movement on these beliefs alone.

This insanity is the mainstream Democrat view of reality at this point, and any that don't hold this view get cancelled and booted the instant it becomes public. One of my favorite pastimes is finding the one part of this conspiracy theory any given lefty disagrees with, and bringing it up in front of other lefties. The ensuing Struggle Sessions are hilarious.
