The Founding Fathers, like every successful revolution in history, knew that they weren't just overthrowing their old masters, they were finding new ones to replace them. See, humans desire to have someone to tell them what to do.

You, my dear fren, need to understand that when things start going bad in your life, you are going to turn to someone or something to petition for help. If you are begging the wrong masters for assistance, then you will end up in the same predicament we are in today.

Insert God and Jesus at this point. Only those who serve God and God alone can be considered free from human masters. Those who believe they can be governed by "science" or "logic" or whatever have always been deceived and become subjected to the worst sorts of oppression.

But more importantly, you need to consider what sort of government you are going to establish. It's easy to say "Rule by the people!" or "Rule of law!" but actually creating a system that perpetuates this is nigh impossible.

At this point, if you are not self-governing, you are not ready for rebellion, nor are you ready to start a new government to replace the current masters you have over yourself. You must free yourself. You must govern yourself. You must govern your family. You must govern your community. You must be someone who does not take but gives. You must be rich, strong and healthy, and self-sufficient. You must be a pillar that other people can lean on in hard times. There is no negotiation on this point.

Once you have achieved a certain level of self-government and independence, you can begin studying what government means and the history of governance. You will find some very fascinating truths, among them that there are only 2 types of governments: those that protect the rights of the individual, and those that oppress the rights of the individual. You will find patterns in governments that protect the rights of the individual, and you'll see that it isn't people that make up those governments but principles, principles applied by the people in their daily lives. Those patterns can be applied no matter what sort of government you live under, and they will always make the individual free from oppression and capable of protecting their own rights.

Among these patterns are the stuff you learned in Sunday School, stuff like keeping God's law of chastity, of foregoing behaviors that give short-term pleasures at the expense of long-term happiness. Things like charitably sharing with the people around you through honest economic interactions, of being generous with your money and time and skills. A thousand paper cuts can kill someone, but a thousand acts of kindness can create strong social bonds that no oppressor can break.

The answers you are looking for are not here on the internet. They are in your home, in your communities, in the things you choose to do with your time. Once you realize this, you realize why they have already lost, and what winning is really all about.

Alexis de Tocqueville came to America to learn how it was that they could be free in a world where so many would be their masters. As he toured the country he came to conclude that freedom was not found in the halls of government or even in the marketplaces, but in the pulpits of their several churches. As our churches have become weak and corrupted, we are going to have to rely on each other to provide those essential sermons to create the conditions whereby freedom can even exist.

Gardens are fun and relaxing, grow one. Shitposting also has benefits to retain sanity when not gardening.

"Ad Christum Fidelis" (Faithful to Christ) The Redeemer guided the Lions who founded America. Christ Jesus the Nazarene is the way, the truth and the light. The light of the world. Thank you faithful Fren for stating such obvious but often wilfully ignored truisms. Amen

Things never change or get better because I will never completely trust you to support me if I decide to fight and subsequently lose everything, and vice versa. They destroy us time and time again because we want so much to believe in the goodness of God and community but maybe theses are false notions and are not truths like we want them to be. Our need to believe in something good, to be part of something righteous is like a dangling carrot that constantly leads us over the cliff edge. And all because I can’t trust that you’ll feed me in a real time of need.

I'll feed you bro.

I already do.

Tons of Christians are quietly going about doing service.

America is, by far, the most charitable country in the world.
