It wasn't anything modern people would accept, and if we hadn't "taken over," it would no doubt still be exactly the same. Truth hurts, but no one can objectively factually deny this. NAs didn't even have the fucking wheel when we got here.

Well he wasn’t talking about Brazil or Mexico or the Pacific Islands so that’s a strawman. He was talking quite specifically about the United States and he’s not wrong. If you believe he is wrong go ahead and make your case.

NB: “Industrial society” is indeed a net benefit. One that you take so much for granted that you can argue with strangers on the internet that pre-industrial society was some kind of agrarian paradise, and never see the irony.
