It was 90 F when I visited Houston a few years ago. A coworker who considered moving there once told me that the realtors informed them that Texans living in Houston have to keep the air conditioners on 24 seven during the summertime or else the wood will warp.
Then their houses were built wrong. Properly seasoned wood for construction won't warp in temperatures that are survivable for humans. There are lots of non-climate controlled shops and sheds and barns and all kinds of buildings without warped wood in Texas.
This is something I heard secondhand from someone who is talking to a realtor. Considering how few skills are a little training one needs to become a realtor, maybe they were totally incorrect
its currently 74 degrees outside and cloudy.
How is that "hell on earth?"
