Without having an obscene amount of surveillance, I don’t know if anybody can really get a good estimate of how particular ethnic group votes as a whole. We all know how good public polling is, right?
Plenty of Chinese Americans in California vote Liberal too, because it is a liberal state. If you look at Chinese Americans living in a state like Texas, I’m sure a greater proportion vote conservative.
Actually, exit polling was pretty accurate, with the exception of the last two elections. Before then, politics wasn't as divided so you didn't have the shy voter effect, which ends up negating some requirements for using certain statistical methods (which is why they've been so wrong in the last two).
