Or you know, what genes you have, like having a duplicated MAOA gene. Genes are not positively deterministic, in that they can't tell you what you will be, but are negatively deterministic in that they can tell you what you won't be. They set the baseline, and your environment just moves the needle a bit.
Well, it's not really teasing as much as it's the typical boomer/libertarian denial of genetics. Where and how you're raised does have some effect, but not as much as your genes. Plus, you have to realize, how you're raised is also genetic in that your parenting ability is part of the behavior determined by your genes. Culture is a reflection of a population's genetic predisposition, not some arbitrary overlay on it. That's why you see high crime in all black areas throughout the world, instead of just areas where they were discriminated against in the past. That's also why you see low Asian crime, no matter if they were discriminated against in the past.
I don’t deny theory of genetics, I disagree with the idea that being black automatically means you’re more likely to commit crimes. There are plenty of Asians willing to commit crimes as much as the next person lol
Yes, I do believe in the potential of an individual. I don’t believe in placing people on a certain rung on a pyramid based on some arbitrary criteria. That’s the same justification the elites used to push public schooling on the masses, rather than letting parents raise their kids themselves.

Glad you’re not taking my teasing too seriously.
I think how and where you’re raised has the biggest effect on people. We’re all born ignorant, for example.
