Good point. It is a big state.

Austin is pretty dry, so not so bad as hot and humid.

Corpus Christi is probably a little bit better because it’s right on the ocean, whereas Houston is further away from it.

I guess what I’m saying is that Houston is hell. I am not necessarily a fan of big government, but considering they have no zoning laws, you could conceivably buy a house and then find a strip club across the street. The town is also stupidly big. It could easily be subdivided into multiple towns. The whole place just feels like a McDonald’s: big and stupid

My experience with Houston is this:

Too big. Government sucks. Toll roads are gay. Getting around is confusing.

Strip clubs are the only reason why I go.

Other than that, Houston could fall in the ocean for all I care.

Toll roads are only acceptable if there are no property taxes on vehicles. I don’t necessarily mind taxes proportional to how much public infrastructure is used. I just don’t like having a noose wrapped around peoples necks in the form of income or death taxes.

You know, considering Houston is paved everywhere and had all that stagnant water from the recent flood a few years ago, it almost could’ve fallen into the ocean lol

The beltway toll road was sold with the promise of ending tolls once it was paid off.

For some reason they were never held accountable to this, but I guess money...

The other big scam is the HOV toll lanes that were put in I10 a federal interstate.
