They know voting doesn't work, the system is to corrupt. They hide behind that idea because they are terrified of what a push back would entail. The majority of them have no interest in pushing back as that would require work and sacrifice. Instead, they will complain and just bend over and take it and then shit on anyone that recognizes the ultimate failure in that plan.
I don’t think that’s it, I think the reality just hasn’t set in for them yet. I asked a guy running for Governor of VA if the election was stolen and he emphatically said “YES!” I then asked him if we nominate him what is his plan if they steal the election from him and he looked at me like he never considered it before and after a pause mumbled “we’ll deal with that when we get there”. This wasn’t a nobody either, this guy was appointed by Trump to be in charge of the military for the Western Hemisphere (https://www.sergiodelapena.com/) but clearly in his mind it’s back to politics as normal.
This isn’t the only example of people who seem to think this way, just the most striking.
