True story about the purdue black culture center (BCC). A friend of mine that attended purdue was running for a high-level student government position and met with BCC leaders. they were fairly hostile and making some pretty unreasonable demands. My friend pointed out that the BCC was not for everyone and asked how they might feel if a white or indian culture centers were formed and got what they were asking for. The leader replied that "the rest of campus is the white culture center." Possibly the most insulting thing i have ever heard be said about blacks, but its what they firmly believed.
That's what they all say. But really, it's not. If "the rest of the campus" was a white culture center than no one else but whites would be allowed to join which is clearly not true, as these black students are enrolled at Purdue!
Giving someone something simply based upon their race is just as equally racist as not allowing someone to have something simply based upon their race.
