Well one method is dangerous, but peaceful. Get state laws passed saying intrastate commerce in arms is legal and federal laws can’t be enforced by state/local law enforcement. Then simply plan some gun shows that advertise that it’s still legal to buy sell and trade guns without a background check. Druggies got their fix by largely peacefully not complying and getting the states to go along with it. Not enough federal agents to chase everyone down and good people going through courts is painful, but more sympathetic and likely to get a good ruling on constitutionality.
