and to think there were QTARDS on here in february of last year saying tony fauci was based and we should all trust him and he and the trump admin were going to take down china with this wuflu thing and we should all be "trusting the plan".

SAD!

FUCK QTARDS!

Uh...there were based people here including myself that were saying trust muh sessions, and muh Barr, and muh Wray, and muh Durham, and muh Pence etc. etc. We were all hoodwinked and I’m sure some of the above were made offers they couldn’t refuse like do what we say or your future son in law gets exploded in a freak car accident on the one day you say you’re going to to do the right thing

We weren't all hoodwinked.

But I agree that saying "I told you so" and rubbing it in doesn't do anyone any good.

5
permissible_missile 5 points ago +8 / -3

Hoodwinked by what? What great evidence did you have that convinced you? Who showed up and convinced you? Or are you telling me you just believed anonymous sources on the internet of your own volition?

6
PeterO 6 points ago +6 / -0

The fact that these people worked for Trump came with a baseline assumption that these people were somewhat OK.

I even thought Barr was handling the muller report well, and he gave congress a few jabs which won me over.

Of course all these people betrayed us in the end.

1
slowmotrin 1 point ago +1 / -0

Barr only seemed good in the first few months after being appointed, but you could tell he was slow walking everything on purpose after a while. I still love that moment where he drank water while testifying and people thought that he was a badass, nope.

1
magacoder 1 point ago +1 / -0

tbf, after Sessions anyone would look good, even a fat fuck like Barr.

Trump getting the 17 (Q) jerseys, making the Q airquote a d pointing at people with Q on their shirts in the audience and giving a thumbs up. The correlations between Q and Trump are endless.

His actions made all the Q people I interacted with or observed online believe it was real. Him alone. Without him no one I was paying attention to have bought it. General Flynn had a role in it too with WWG1WGA etc etc.

You can dismiss it but that's where it comes from, a sincere place not thin air.

Were we all fooled? Yes, 100%. The implications are crushing, because it means our so called savior is in fact the opposite

2
permissible_missile 2 points ago +2 / -0

Miss me with that "so called savior is the opposite" dumb shit.

Have you ever, and maybe sit down before reading this comment, but have you ever considered that maybe you have no fucking clue what's going on and should cherish your ability to be silent sometimes? Try it out.

Qtards always think they know everything what's going on with all of this secret info. Just stop and STFU, because you don't. And before you hit me with it I'll openly say that I don't have inside information either, but you don't see me standing up speaking authoritatively about shit that I have no actual grasp on...

4
ProudWhiteMan 4 points ago +6 / -2

What? Are we just blaming anything and everything on q anons now....

Honestly most people agreed with washing hands and social distancing since those are proven and effective prevention behaviors. The shutting down of business quarantining the healthy and masks will stop the spread was the bullshit. Agreeing with someone doesn't mean they aren't mostly wrong.

1
FormerGraveheart 1 point ago +2 / -1

No, but trolls certainly are. I hate Qtards as much as anyone but they had nothing to do with this. Trolls have figured out that Q is a point of division among us and are trying to use it to spread discord.

-8
giantrabbit1 -8 points ago +3 / -11

All the QTARDS loved to suck Fauci's cock back in Feb 2020. They kept saying he was based and muh "trust the plan".

7
ProudWhiteMan 7 points ago +8 / -1

Dude I come here daily and your timeline doesn't line up. Covid started in Italy late February first lockdowns in Europe started in March and it wasn't an issue in the u.s. till may. I never heard anyone defending fauci ever here in fact everyone was denouncing him about his 180 stance on hcq having previously gloated about the treatment against corona type virus in the past

4
LivebytheTendies 4 points ago +4 / -0

This asshole just got rid of his handshake so he's trying to spread misinformation.

-4
giantrabbit1 -4 points ago +2 / -6

Trump declared COVID national emergency one year ago today.

Fauci was in the spotlight and making statements as early as late February of 2020.

People on TD were saying fauci was based.

1
ProudWhiteMan 1 point ago +2 / -1

It's March now not february, I honestly don't remember any based fauci posts at all. There were "based" sessions and bars and whoever defended trump long enough to get praise but all those were momentary and not driven by q anons only our momentary perception.

27

63
Throwingway22 63 points ago +63 / -0

We do have the data and we do have the evidence. It all points to lockdowns being one of the greatest mistakes western countries have ever made.

Fauci is an actual demon. 2020 was the greatest year of his life while his "judgment calls" crippled the nation and sacrificed an entire generation of children.

15
lixa 15 points ago +15 / -0

And the scary thing is what kind of parents will those kids be (probably a bunch of paranoid control freaks)

0
BadManOrange 0 points ago +3 / -3

There may be some good that will come from all of the COVID mess if we ever return to a sane society. Allowing people to work out of their house and be near their families more regularly is a big win. E-learning can hopefully lead to the rise of private e-schools. Things like that may be silver linings.

7
Shroudedf8 7 points ago +7 / -0

I have to somewhat disagree. Except for the 'be close to family' part, if applicable. Being isolated in our house all the time is NOT healthy for us humans, young and old. We are social creatures and need interaction. Some more than others, granted. But the whole e-learning thing is a disaster. Kids need to socialize and interact. And talking through a webcam or phone doesn't cut it. I think homeschooling is great, but if I was to do it, I would place extra emphasis on my kids social interactions. I get the work from home thing though. I think as adults, many of us have already formed good social attachments that wfh could improve ones quality of life.

3
TodayTomorrowYesterd 3 points ago +4 / -1

Not quite sure about all the "silver linings", but kids are failing and high suicide rate. Maybe the only "thing" that came out of it is if a family is wise enough, then home school, but the parents are too lazy and "busy."

2
Shroudedf8 2 points ago +2 / -0

I just can't help but be suspicious that this is all intentional forced isolation, division and dehumanization. Maybe I'm being a little tin-foil hat-ish. But, some of the stuff I think these days, had I thought the same way 20 years ago, I'd have checked myself in for treatment.

And yeah, laziness and apathy will be our downfall.

2
basedvirginian 2 points ago +2 / -0

It’s totally intentional. A fearful populace is more easy to control

1
BadManOrange 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, yeah, there'd be a greater emphasis on social interactions outside of school. I know we all did it, but kids shouldn't be wasting school time bsing anyway. Many kids probably don't need 6+ hours of school either.

Voters, activists, and political leaders of the present day are in the position of medieval doctors. They hold simple, prescientific theories about the workings of society and the causes of social problems, from which they derive a variety of remedies – almost all of which prove either ineffectual or harmful. Society is a complex mechanism whose repair, if possible at all, would require a precise and detailed understanding of a kind that no one today possesses. Unsatisfying as it may seem, the wisest course for political agents is often simply to stop trying to solve society’s problems.

As someone who has been on the front lines of this shit let me say this:

The implementation of a 2 week lockdown was the ONLY part of the plan that made sense.

And the moment we started air traffic back up again was the moment we knew this wasn't that dangerous.

From there it was all security theater and in line with flu numbers across demographics.

Scamdemic was created to rob the election, rob the American voter of their voice. There was no evidence, only fear and gassing the train forward under the assumption a boogey man was surely going to give chase.

Everything is becoming undone conveniently after a new regime change. We aren't blind.

5

5
TheOutlawPepeWales 5 points ago +5 / -0

you've got to make a judgment call

"And by you I mean me. Kneel before Zod!"

5
KungPaoMcChicken 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think the wuflu is evidence of how strong globalism was at the time. Nobody wanted to halt air traffic. So there were multiple waves of the virus coming in. The small one was the initial China travellers. Most countries were able to deal with it. Some like Europe were completely decimated by the virus. And then we realised it wasn't enough just to travel ban China. The truth is the answer was a full travel ban, and if we had done this in Jan / Feb the virus would have been defeated. The WHO wanted open borders with temperature checks. Its not only bad advice but its criminally negligent advice. They actively fought against the only decision that could have prevented this pandemic.

5

4

When you think about it Fakeci was pretty based last Feb.

He said risk is minimal Mask don't work, they spread the virus, don't wear them Asympotmatic spread was never in history the driver of pandemics Take a cruise Worry about the Flu, which is deadlier to children, especially this year which is one of the deadliest.

Then in Mid March the DEMS got to him and told him that they will make him a hero cast against the villian Trump. So he decided he would enjoy playing that role. And the rest is history. Fakeci managed to get all his WIV $$$ hidden, his horrible handeling of the pandemic early on, his lies, all buried under the rug to make Trump look bad. And he gets his huge salary, million dollar prizes, and whatever kickbacks Gilead, Pfizer, J&J and the rest of Big Pharma is paying him.

4
browndrill 4 points ago +4 / -0

I live near U of M, and a co-worker's wife works at the viral pathology research lab. They have several grants to study the SARS-CoV-2 virus. They have asked the CDC, NIH, FDA, Harvard Medical, Pfizer, Stanford, Moderna, ect. and apparently not a single one of them have a sample of the live virus. If there are no samples anywhere in the US, there is no science.

3
Sparks1017 3 points ago +3 / -0

"Judgment call"= Make shit up

2
CensoredByMarxists 2 points ago +2 / -0

The thing is there's plenty of data and evidence. Against lockdowns, that is. As long as the data shows they are wrong, they deny it exists, just like the election fraud.

2
boomerbutnotOKBoomer 2 points ago +2 / -0

The article says part of the problem is that Fauci doesn't understand the harms of the lockdown. Fauci knows full well the harms and he revels in them. As has been pointed out by "elite" watchers -- [they] consider us a lesser species and are experimenting with how much they can get away with. This is not accidental, this is not for our own good, this is a test to see what our breaking point is.

2
Yaemz123 2 points ago +2 / -0

We DID have scientific evidence at the beginning of this. We had 30+ years of studies on masks in relation to aerosolized respiratory viruses proving beyond any reasonable doubt that masks are completely and totally useless in reducing spread of such viruses AT ALL. There were medical experts admitting this. The only effective reduction mechanism is and always has been for those most susceptible to isolate while everyone else lives normally and our immune systems work their crazy magic.

1
usdodsgssog 1 point ago +1 / -0

Studies "proving" masks worked were done only in 2020. All previous year studies pretty much concluded they weren't really effective out in the real world. They had to make up whatever crap they could in 2020 to prove their evil use of them. I swear, decades worth of scientific knowledge was thrown into the garbage and anyone who dared mention real science was branded a terrorist. 🤡🌎

2
ShitOfPeace 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is no judgement call to be made. If you don't have the data to support what you're doing there's no reason the people shouldn't be as free as possible.

It's ridiculous to suggest that you should be able to limit freedom without any evidence behind what you're doing. Hell, even in almost all cases people should be free even if you do have evidence.

Herd immunity is considered 70% of a given population having immunity. 70% of the U.S. population of 328M people is 230M people. As of March 10, 2021, the CDC says (at the link below) that 95.7M Americans have been vaccinated, and about 2.2M more are being vaccinated every day. Ok, so here's the math (rounded off): 230 - 98 = 134. 134 / 2.2 = 61. 61 days from today is May 11, but now I assume it'll be much sooner; after all, WSJ was pushing out this editorial declaring herd immunity by April, and the author of that article is Dr. Marty Makary is a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health; as you know, Johns Hopkins has been the main source of data about the virus throughout the past year.

Republican: Elected officials should make judgement calls, because they're accountable to the people.

Democrat: Unelected bureaucrats should make the call, because they can't be held accountable by anyone.

The different governing philosophies are right there on the surface, people just need to be willing to see them. We get the government we deserve.
