I'm not sure this completely explains Hitler leaving Switzerland alone, while he wanted all German people unified under one nation. Germany and its eventual "allies" (willing and not-so-willing, like the Netherlands) had more than half the banks in continental Europe and East Asia.
Needless to say, I am not a fan of Hitler - really his polar opposite on most things, except opposition to Communism. I think Germany was best when it was hundreds of independent principalities.
