Its not really worth the effort for a 10% better looking print. Get some rolls of esun pla+ and go print some ar lowers ;)
When you get good you can try nylon for printed barrels but you also have to be insane to go that route. Or desperate... which, given the circumstances, is fast approaching for many of us
According to my three minutes of research, polycarbonate might also work, but printing it releases BPA which acts like estrogen or an estrogen blocker or some shit like that so take precautions

However, I printed with PLA for this one, dude in the vid says it is a no go for PLA fillament, gonna have to get my hands on some different filament.
