I hear you, but what is the proper way to reconcile this? They already stripped us of our rights. Do they need to send an apology and resign?

The way to fix this is to make it absolutely clear that the next person who even thinks of doing something like it again gets sent to Guantanamo for the rest of their miserable existence. Preferably by sending the people currently doing it to Gitmo. Fucktards only understand force, we need to start using it ourselves

Gitmo is not luxurious or even comfortable. On one hand, getting sent there is plenty of threat, as it's a camp, not a prison, and life there is intentionally made unpleasant to break the prisoner's spirit. On the other hand - citizens would not be sent there, it's primary use is to hold terrorists.

One the gripping hand, I'd be fine with anyone forcing masks back on us, or trying to, to be fire, not allowed to hold public office again, and shunned by society.

Nobody should have followed them to begin with

I sure didn't. Oklahoma City also has a mandate. I walked into a Walmart and had a cop ask if I wanted a mask. I looked at him in the eyes and said, nope...then continued in the store. He never said anything to me. Only a hand full of people refuse to wear them here. Another handful wear them below their nose...most idiots just comply and think their saving lives.

Easy to say until you will lose your job if you don't comply and you are a single mom of three.

The toughest decisions require the most backbone. Sacrifice isn't easy for a reason

Hindsight's 20/20. Or maybe you don't remember how they were saying the death toll would be in the millions, describing the horrific outcomes, and talking about how your tiny children would end up on ventilators? We didn't know then what we know now.

Or maybe you're just an asshole on the Internet who's trying to score points. There's no way of knowing, really.

But it is her losing job. What did you sacrifice except giving bad reputation to rest of us?

Choose your fight and fight smartly is what I believe. That is why I don't shop at amazon.com or any big business. I support local small businesses for the last 20 years. I boycotted as much as possible globalism. I don't use netflix, apple, long list. I don't go to movie theater. you can get free stuff from libraries.

Do they need to send an apology and resign?

For a fucking start!

Yes. Apologize, give your best excuse/reasons, admit that not only were you ethically wrong to use the emergency powers, but that the orders had no effect in stopping the virus and needlessly caused death and suffering, and resign, or alternatively, state a reason for not resigning (i.e. that it would cede more power to Dems to do even worse). Bonus points if you commit to follow Trump’s lead from here on — that’s the only way back to the right side of the wall.

We all know what the reconciliation is.
