Mom 75 with Diabetes and high BP which is controlled with meds. Been on Hydroxy protocol for COVID prophylaxis for 2 months. Want to go on vacay with her but she wants vaccine first ... what do you guys think? Thank you ☺️

I could not in good faith tell my Mom to take the vaccine.
If she insists, do it as soon as possible so she'll be recovered in time for the vacation. If it harms her, you honored her decision so you can't blame yourself.
Simply do not go on vacation and do nothing. No jab, no vacation, just hang out with your Mom and garden and talk and cook and make a scrap book of family photos, and type up her memories of them. Buy a book of jokes online, and have Funny Hour every day where you read her the jokes. Look at old funny movies such as the Marx Brothers, and all that kind of thing.

Frequent hand washing and not touching your face too much are still the best ways to avoid catching a cold or flu. I would tell her to load up on some vitamins instead of the vax. And they keep saying the vax doesn't stop you from needing a mask or social distancing anyway, so I don't think I'd feel comfortable taking her to places with large swarms of people.
My mums 70. She had the first jab and felt weird for at least a week. I would not recommend going on holidays for at least a month after the jab just so you know she is ok and close to home.
I can't advise you--I can only tell you about MY choice: I will not take a vaccine for anything. Vaccines never really solve anything. In fact, they cause illness.
The vaccines they're giving for COVID are "experimental" because they have NOT been tested and approved. I heard about people who have died after having the shots, and their life insurance got out of paying because they took the unapproved vaccine within a year before death. No, thank you, I will not be an uninformed, unpaid guinea pig for big pharma's yet another hoax.
She has co-morbidities. She should be the one in quarantine. I wouldn't risk it.

so why can’t you leave her home and go on vacation? What sort of vacation were you planning? Will there be a lot of people? The vaccine doesn’t do anything anyway. You need to go on vacation before they make it illegal to go without it.
As somebody in science and medical field I'll just tell you that most of the vaccine fear around these parts are overblown. Trump got it, Melania got it, I got it. It's not gonna rewrite your DNA or give you covid or any of the truly stupid things that you hear.
Was it rushed? Yes. Do I like that they are giving it to pregnant women? No. Am I going to give it to my kids soon? No. Did I worry when they stuck me? No. You shouldn't either.
Pence took the virus I don’t remember Trump taking it. And once you have it once you’ve had Covid you shouldn’t need the vaccine period.
If you are healthy and under 60, I would say you are safer to get exposed to the virus and have your immune system fight it on it's own. I know the percentage of cases of severe reaction to the vaccine is low. But, we don't know the long term affects, yet. Some scientists are saying the mRNA vaccines may put you at severe risk months or years later when hit by a similar virus.
