Commercialized VPN is a shitty version of onion routing (TOR), and trying to take data from your ISP... but both are selling it just in different ways that make you more or less comfortable.
Stop using commercial VPNs... it’s just another transport, like a subway, sure driving through New York they tracked your license plate on every toll bridge and intersection, but taking the subway underground they still tracked you at entry and exit, just not your license plate.
It will take you 4-8 hours and a few bucks to learn and stand up your own vpn on cloud providers. That is way more convoluted than mcafee or nord vpn could ever be at this point.
